Cappadocia Balloon Travel — Local services in Göreme

Very untrustworthy company. My review is for the tour including the air balloon flight.

I booked 4 MONTHS prior to the balloon flight and followed up with them 4 weeks before the flight. (I’m writing this review 2 weeks before the flight)

They literally did not respond to number of my requests for the confirmation of my booking right until I warned them that I will cancel their booking and post this fact review on Google Map. When they finally responded to me, they said it was due to their agency being under maintenance which caused the delay. Again, I booked 4 MONTHS in advance (with email received for the booking code) and they also remained silence for 2 weeks after my follow up until I finally made a call to them via WhatsApp so being under maintenance must be an excuse.

As I’ve seen this company’s review on both Google Map and Trip Advisor, some reviews say they have canceled the flight as to offer the space to others who would pay higher rate in the last minute. I’m very skeptical that they were putting my booking on hold so they can do the same.

With that being said, my advise is that you may risk yourself with getting last minute cancellation from this company if you struggle to communicate in a timely manner. I decided to book from other company as I’m only 2 weeks away from the date of flight and the price can go...

We thoroughly enjoyed the Green Tour arranged with Cappadocia Balloon Travel. Thanks to the excellent tour guide Bilal. He made our tour a memorable event right from the beginning till the end. Bilal’s knowledge of the Cappadocia history and finer details of all the destinations (Pigeon Valley, Underground City, Ilhara Canyons, Belisirma lunch) of the Green Tour were truly amazing.

Bilal’s communication skills and way of engaging with tourists and local onlookers are great and motivating. As we were in Cappadocia during Eid, there was extraordinary crowd at all the places. Through his smart itinerary route planning, Bilal made sure that we covered all the places of the itinerary without much hassle and return to our hotel on time.

We cherished every moment at all the locations, especially trekking the Ilhara valley, lunch over the fresh flowing spring and the mesmerizing walks through the narrow tunnels of underground city. We are also thankful for clicking memorable photos for our family and other members of the group.

This company is probably the worst in Göreme! I booked 2 months in advance a Hot Air Balloon flight at low season + discounted price. This being said, when I arrived in Göreme, all the price increased but as my price was locked I paid half the price with Viator. -- This being said, I had another booking with them but had to cancel this one because I changed my plan, exactly 6 minutes latet I received an email telling they cancelled my Hot Air Balloon flight - I guess they did that out of revenged and 'cause I had an awewome deal and they didn't wanna honor it - This is lame. Shame on that company.

So I went back today. The owner actually refused to honor the price mentionning that I had to assume part of the price difference. After he told me "If someone ask you, tell you paid 140 instead of the price I paid".
