The Patio Cappadocia — Restaurant in Göreme

Travellers must!!! Not trying this Café just means not having been in Kapadokya at all.

After spending almost a week in Göreme I was lucky enough to find this cafeteria, which I did by coincidence. I just got a little bit off the touristic center route and bumped into what turned out to be an oasis of peace and authenticity that added even more color and flavor to my already beautiful stay here in Göreme. The Café itself couldn't have received a better name. It truly is a "Patio" of tranquility, light and good vibes, the best vibes you can actually find in town. It is being runned by two, sometimes three, ladies that really do a great job: genuinely friendly, caring and always smiling. Good vibes are being added also through the fact, that pets are more than welcome in this place. They come and go, as does visitors do, which all together becomes a peaceful flow of energies. Also the decoration of the whole place is made with love and warmth, you can tell that the ladies put a lot of effort and heart in it. Sitting by the chimney fire in winter and enjoy one of the delicious meals, handmade by them, is a great pleasure and a unique and genuine Kapadokyan experience. All of the dishes I tried so far, Menemen, Turkish Pancakes, Tomato and Thyme Sauce Omelette and Spring Rolls just to name a few, were all delicious. But also the Turkish coffee and the different Teas are served with an extra-plus of love. By the way, music selection is great as well, a perfect mix between moments of authentic Turkish music and relaxing and healing English sounds. All in all, this has become one of my top three Cafés on this planet and is definitely worth a visit, if you want to get to know the real Kapadokya. I'd rather not go on the balloons next time than not showing up...

Found this place via Google Maps and decided to try it out, the breakfast was very good. I thought they would have small portions like other eateries but boy was I wrong, the breakfast set was more than enough, it can be customized and comes with tea, unknowingly I ordered a filter coffee and an omelette on the side, but it was so good that I managed to finish everything and having the coffee to go. The girls are doing an exceptional job and I wish them the best....
