Istanbul #1, Turkish #1: this was our first (and last!) meal in Istanbul. I had seen many IG reels about mantı and later learned about gözeleme. This place did both and wasn't far from our Airbnb! We had one order of mantı ₺250, an order of spinach gözeleme ₺100, and a large çay, Both were good, but the manti stole the show for both of us. Each little dumpling tasted great especially with the yogurt sauce and various spices. This was actually my partner's favorite dish of our one-week food trip here. We liked it so much that we came back for our final lunch before heading to the airport.

If you see this restaurant dark and empty do not be discouraged. It’s extremely clean and the food is very fresh. The ladies take very good care of the food. Everything was made fresh for us. It is slightly out of the beaten track which is a good thing. When we arrived no one was outside trying to get us in. Which is a huge plus. They were having lunch which they interrupted to cook for us. 100% recommended. The Manti were fresh, tasty warm and delicious. The fresh Gozleme was tasty, soft and delicate.

Went here especially looking for Gozleme in Kadokoy, really happy with my choice. Simple good and quite e few options to stuff your gozleme! Local vibe great prices, highly recommend for a light quick lunch and if you want to try Gozleme!!!

Kadıköy Hasanpaşa’da tarihi salı pazarının olduğu yerde Pazar günleri kurulan İBB yerel üreticiler pazarı var, uzun zamandır gözlememizi orada yiyoruz (peynirli, ıspanaklı, kaşarlı, patlıcanlı gözleme 80 lira, kıymalı 100 lira, karışık isterseniz 10 lira fark alıyorlar, sadece gözleme yapımında beş kadın çalışıyor. Arkadaşlar Cumartesi günü ısrarla gözleme yemek isteyince Google’a baktım, Kadıköy’de en yüksek puan buradaydı, o yüzden buraya geldik. Burada normal gözleme 100 lira, karışık isterseniz 160 lira, karışıkta niçin bu kadar fiyat farkı var dediğimde, biz çok malzeme koyuyoruz dediler. Kadıköy’deki pazarda satılan gözleme hem miktar olarak hem malzeme olarak kesinlikle daha fazla ve lezzeti bir tık daha yukarıda. Araç ile gelirseniz ücretli otopark dışında yer yok, dükkanın önünde sandalye ile kapatılmış bir otopark yeri vardı, kargocular kulanıyormuş, sandalyeyi alıp arabayı park ettik, gözlemeleri yiyene kadar da kimse gelip arabayı çekin demedi, en azından otopark...
