Le Beaujolais — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

It was a cooking disaster in general and French cookery in particular, combined with sloppy service and bad presentation skills..I was recommended by a French person, and was disappointed "royalement". We ordered poultry Liver salad (foie de volaille), and the presentation was quite literal, it was salad in the middle and cooked chicken livers placed as a circle around it..and it tasted average. So we changed it because we thought at that price it would be foie Gras, so we got the salade Niçoise instead, a boring but taste wise a safer choice. For the main course, we had the seabass fillet and the beef fillet, Both served with store bought French fries and a faded green salad dumped in a sauce vinegrette with mayonnaise. The fish was on the dry side but was served on time, with the wrong sauce: instead of lemon milanaise sauce, it came with the black pepper sauce normally meant for the steak..so I thought my plate was following. Waited and waited. It appeared that they forgot my order when punching..I received the same faded green salad as an apology, and then a medium rare beef fillet when I asked for a medium well done, because I know that well done would be dry. I returned it, and ended up with a Grey dry shewwy piece of meat, I didn't enjoy it and had to eat the fries to satiate my hunger and fill out for my anger. Le Beaujolais is an award winning French Bistro located on Lobby Level at @novelhotelauh that takes you straight to Paris ,it offers scrumptious French cuisine,it has also won several awards and recently voted as FAVORITE FRENCH RESTUARENT in 2017. I completely enjoyed their Business lunch that offers a set menu for only 75 AED just add a glass of Red or Whiite Wine and pay 89 AED served from 12pm till 5pm I loved their Creme De Legumes(cream of vegetables)soup 🍲👌very Flavourful and rich in taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pâtes aux crevettes (white sauce pasta with shrimp) very delicious 🤤 creamy pasta 🍝 with shrimps cheese sauce absolutely Devine 🤤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Poitrine de poulet marinée grillée à la tomate cuite lentement(Marinated Grilled chicken breast in slow cooked tomao)very juicy and tender chicken with steamed vegetables yum 😍⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ragoût de bœuf(Beef Stew 🍲👌) delicious well done beef made in red vine along with mashed potatoes added so much Flavour to this amazing french dish 👌🤤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Desserts 😋 Mousse au chocolat 👌🍫⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ crème brulée à la framboise🤤🤤🤤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The restaurant surely has a beautiful ambiance with french vibes . I loved my over all experience . Thanks TO BUDDY who was so welcoming and hospitable. This restaurant was a total let down and a disappointment as a food lover Traveling the world.

It is the biggest joke and a total rip off in prices and menu that I’ve ever experienced and been in throughout my travels.

I will never come back here! What was disappointing was the F&B manager, she had no idea of management and service. I had to prep her! Eg.. what is your specials what does your restaurant specialises in?, what’s is so special about your restaurant.. what specials do you have on offer tonight, what would you recommend to drink and would go well with my meal?

The waiter asked whether I was ready to order my food, after 20min sitting there and hadn’t been asked whether We wanted a drink or to be given a drink menu, I had to ask for it… Amateur night and a disappointment.

So I’m very sorry but this has to be the worst restaurant I’ve been since I’ve been in these part of the world…😳☝️☝️ Regards PIO

Menu was very limited and Over-priced. French restaurant serving New Zealand steak at a ridiculous price is strange.. the place was empty, I wonder why? The old interiors and surrounding was caught in the 50 didn’t help.
