IG: eatgosee Obviously this is a limited review because I only came on here to try one of their Brownie Sundays. However, this is a place that I would come back to notwithstanding the fact that the Sunday was okay and nothing more than that.
The concept is simple: and American-style smoky barbecue diner, with rows of booth seating, Darkwoods and nodes to Americana midwest artwork everywhere. The focus here seems to be particularly on their brisket which unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to try.
The brownie sundae in question was being promoted quite loudly and in an unusual moment of spontaneity towards deserts, I decided to go in and try it.
True to form, this American style diner delivered quantity in large portions. What emerged was a large cup of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and studied with gooey fudge brownies. To be honest the brownies were the best part and actually the ice cream and the whipped cream I did almost nothing to the dish because they were relatively bland. That said I would easily eat a giant portion of these brownies any day of the week.
The service here was friendly, entertaining and engaging for the few moments that we were here. They certainly seem to create the fun devil may care attitude that is consistent with the concept.
If I find myself back in Abu Dhabi and this small, I will definitely come back to try out some of the more popular...

Their staff is one of the reason why we’re coming back. They’re quite amazing and accommodating. They will check your needs every now and then.
Asusual, we ordered picnic feast. Comes with 6 side dishes. For Picnic Feast you have the option to choose from different beef and chicken cook types. (Brisket, Burnt Ends, Marinated Chicken Breast, Jalapeno Chicken and 2 Types of Sausages) For us, as we have tasted all, we have chosen the brisket and spicy sausage. For the sides, we had coleslaw, caesar salad, baked beans, corn, mac and cheese and skin-on fries.
All the sides were pretty amazing except for the mac and cheese which looks like a lump of pasta when it got cold.
For the meat, its kinda disappointing, as it seems we got the older batch. Both the sausage and the brisket were dry. Its tender though. The bbq sauce compliments the tenderness and mask the dryness.
For the drinks, go for the mint lemonade for palette cleansing.
Overall experience is good. Inconsistency with the food being served.
Dickey’s is located in the Yas Mall food court, opposite of Toys R’ Us.
“Ate” gave us a 10% discount. I dont know if its a promotion or staff discount. But we are grateful.

Read moreI recently visited your establishment at Abu Dhabi Yas Island and unfortunately I must express my disappointment with both the food and service during my visit. Firstly, the quality of the food fell far below expectations. The smoked meat, which should have been the highlight, tasted more like microwaved fare rather than properly smoked meat. The lack of that distinct smoky flavor was truly disheartening. Furthermore, the service left much to be desired. It took an unnecessarily long time for our drinks to arrive. Specifically, my green tea, which should have been a quick preparation, took a frustrating 20 minutes to be served. Such delays are not acceptable for a simple beverage order. To add to the frustration, there was a miscommunication regarding our fries. Despite requesting skin-on fries, we were served regular fries instead. Even more concerning was the fact that the staff insisted they were serving skin-on fries, only to later confess that they had been instructed by the chef to claim they were skin-on. This inconsistency and misleading behavior left us feeling both frustrated...
