Stepping into Sticky Rice Restaurant instantly transported me back to Thailand — the ambiance alone is pure Thai feels! The taste? Absolutely authentic — every bite was a burst of flavor that still makes me salivate just thinking about it. As someone who considers Thailand a second home, this meal was deeply nostalgic. I feel lucky to have experienced dishes prepared by a true Thai chef!
The drink I ordered (Chai nom yen) instantly brought back memories of my time in Thailand — it was that good. Food was served within a reasonable time, on top of that the price, the amount of serving, and ingredient quality wise are all worth it. Overall, experience was made even more special by the exceptional hospitality. A heartfelt shoutout to Ms. Imee, whose warm, accommodating presence made it feel like I was dining with family. Our conversation was meaningful and one-of-a-kind. Your passion and dedication truly shine, and it reflects beautifully in the way you welcome guests. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were a descendant of Khun Me — there's definitely a resemblance in spirit and warmth!
Although I was hoping for Khao Man Gai to be available at this branch, the larb and popiah more than satisfied my cravings. Highly, highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Thai food with a side of heartwarming hospitality.

Read moreThe whole area was cordoned off when we visited. I thought it was closed already but when we approached closer, the usher opened the cordon and told us food will be served in ~45 minutes. I guess they were just trying to control people from coming in, to probably avoid overwhelming their kitchen (i.e., more influx of people, more orders, kitchen might not catch up). I think cordoning off your business doesn't give a very welcoming energy to clients. It's screaming "go away!". Even if this is just a soft opening, a barrier between you and potential clients does not look good in any way.
The waiter that served us isn't familiar with the menu, and he keeps on saying it's because he's just new. He made us point onto the menu to see what we were ordering. It's not a massive menu. If you really are into your job, you can easily master the name of the dishes in a few hours. How can you even make product suggestions if you don't know what you're selling? I think this is more of management's fault than the individual person's. If you trained your staff well, they wouldn't be using these pathetic excuses that they are "just new" to absolve them of their incompetence.
The food tasted like the food in their JVC branch, so in that department, I applaud them for keeping the authenticity of their dishes similar to their...
Read moreIt was our first time to sticky rice and overall experience was amazing .. the food was really flavourful and good flavour of traditional Thai food .. I ordered the spicy mussel soup which was very flavourful n was tangy and good flavour of corriander and lemon n green chillies . But if you can’t handle the spice do not order !! Then later we ordered the sticky tamarind wings which was sweet n spicy and had a nice flavour to it with a lovely crunch on the top. For the mains we ordered a prawn penang curry which in the menu stated that it would be very spicy but it was not very spicy !! Infact I felt the soup was more spicy due to the fresh chopped green chillies . We also ordered the egg n chicken friend rice and it was really authentic Thai fried rice with some veggies . Only thing was pls inform the staff of how you would like the food to be served .. which I mean the soup first followed by the appetiser and the mains as for me they got the fried rice first however , later when I told them they got the soup and the rest of the things .. our total bill was approx 300 aed for two people and we also had to take away some food !! they also had a claw game machine where we even won so we totally loved it !!! Our server Ms Amor was very helpful and friendly and kind !! An absolute...
