A Mosaic of Middle Eastern Delights in Abu Dhabi
When it comes to exquisite dining experiences that can transport you across the world without leaving your seat, Mosaic Restaurant in Abu Dhabi is a destination that stands out in a city teeming with culinary options. This vibrant venue truly encapsulates the essence of the Middle East's rich food culture.
We started our culinary journey with Mosaic's Hummus, and it was nothing short of a revelation. The dish was a masterclass in texture and flavor balance, perfectly smooth yet punctuated by the pleasing crunch of pine nuts. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the extra virgin olive oil drizzled on top was of an exceptional grade. The accompanying warm, freshly baked pita bread was a perfect vehicle for the hummus, making each bite melt in our mouths.
Next, we delved into the Shaorma mix, and the symphony of flavors was outstanding. Mosaic's interpretation of this traditional dish was both authentic and creative. The meat was perfectly spiced, succulent, and tender, while the accompanying sauces added a creamy, tangy dimension that balanced the richness of the meat. The pickles and vegetables were fresh and crisp, adding a necessary crunch to the succulent mix. Each ingredient had a clear voice yet harmonized beautifully to create a dish that was utterly satisfying.
Finally, we indulged in their Fattoush salad, a refreshing ensemble that showed Mosaic's dedication to elevating even the simplest of dishes. The salad was a celebration of freshness and crunch, with each element playing its part beautifully. The crisp vegetables, the tangy pomegranate molasses, and the crunchy toasted pita pieces came together in a delightful mélange, creating a salad that was both hearty and light.
The service at Mosaic was attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive, with the staff's knowledge of the menu and ingredients shining through. They guided us through our meal with warmth and professionalism, enhancing our experience.
In conclusion, Mosaic Restaurant is an oasis in the heart of Abu Dhabi, a place where traditional Middle Eastern cuisine is celebrated with finesse and creativity. Whether you're an ardent foodie or just someone looking for a delightful meal, Mosaic is a must-visit. This restaurant truly creates a mosaic of flavors that will leave you...

Mosaic is frequently referenced among the better Lebanese restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive and it was this reason I did not question the 150 dirham cost for their set menu Iftar when I made reservations for 5.
Upon arrival they had carefully laid out a few dates, a couple of strikingly similar salads, some hummus, some Moutabel and a forgettable cold dish that I did not recognize. Also there was fried kibbeh, some mixed pastry and assorted stuffings. If your not familiar with Lebanese cuisine, this is a pretty traditional spread that at any reasonable restaurant will run you about 60 to 100 dirhams depending on the quality.
Complimenting these table offerings was a very small, crowded and utterly disappointing hot buffet. It included two rice dishes, one lamb and one chicken along with more assorted stuffings and the driest grilled meats imaginable.
Staff were most friendly, but in a restaurant so quaint, it’s not unreasonable for someone, preferably management to move through the restaurant and check on how customers are receiving the meal. Not at Mosaic. This set menu style of service requires very little attention and we were afforded just that. They didn’t even serve hot fresh bread, which is customary at every Lebanese restaurant I’ve ever eaten.
I was actually shocked. Iftar at one of the best reviewed Lebanese restaurants in Abu Dhabi cost 777 dirham and had little more to offer than a handful of cold mezze and a forgettable hot buffet that was akin to hospital food.
Next time I’ll order delivery from Zahrat, the food will be better, the price will be fair, and at home I don’t have to be disappointed with a...
