I recently visited the Neighborhood Café and, while the atmosphere was friendly thanks to the great customers, I encountered some significant issues. Let me break it down.
Mixed Service and Average Food: Some staff members were welcoming and friendly, while others seemed quite indifferent and unengaged. The food itself was pretty average—not particularly memorable in either direction.
Hygiene Concerns: This is where my main concern lies. I’ve been to fine restaurants that also don’t necessarily require gloves, but they have very strict hygiene standards. They monitor their staff, ensure thorough cleanliness, and sometimes even conduct health checks.
Unfortunately, at the Neighborhood Café, I witnessed a staff member leave the restroom and go straight back to the kitchen without washing their hands. They also don’t wear gloves, which by itself isn’t necessarily a problem if there’s good hygiene, but here it just highlighted a larger issue. There was no soap available in the restroom, and it made me wonder about the overall cleanliness and health standards.
