Located in Dubai Mall, this place defines elegance with its beautiful decor of white and golden tones. They have an outdoor deck that overlooks the fountain and downtown Dubai. The area would be wonderful during the winters or to enjoy a breakfast with a view. The seating was spacious regardless you come in two’s or large groups but preferably table booking is advised since the place is always busy.

Their menu was on an iPad showcasing their delicacies which will have you salivating. Each dis was fine tuned to have a balance of the conventional flavors and artistic finesse.

Bite Board

We started off with a passion ale [AED 31] that was a mixture of passion fruit, orange and ginger ale. It had a citrus flavor and was garnished with a passion-fruit on top. It was a refreshing drink with the right amount of sweetness to it.

Starters

Hummus Harr [AED 27]: This was our favorite, your regular hummus with a twist of spice. It was made with jalapenos and coriander giving the light green hue and finally topped with olive oil, chickpeas and pretzels. A stunner to look at and was appetizing that it got over within minutes.

Dill Kashmiri: Enthused by the Indian street food, this was an absolute delight. A crisp dill bread stuffed with potatoes, chickpeas, and sprouts topped with yogurt and pomegranate seeds. The flavors were very similar to the Kachori chaat that all Asians would resonate with.

Puffy Pesto [AED 50]: Usually we are not fans of pesto sauce, but this dish totally changed our view. Flaky puffs with juicy chicken bites doused in the creamy pesto sauce and garnished with pine nuts, rocket leaves and thin fries. The dish was super light and made for a great starter.

Chicken Halloumi [AED 43]: One of us was a vegetarian, so we got this dish without the chicken. The sauce was delectable made of tomato base with garlic and cream tossed with halloumi and dressed with pomegranate syrup, pine nuts and rocket leaves. Another one of our favorites, must try!

Mains

Prawn Biryani [AED 79]: The highlight of the evening for us, well cooked, flavorful rice and a generous amount of juicy prawns garnished with mint leaves, this will leave you craving for more.

Rosemary Lamb Chops [AED 89]: Grilled lamb chops served with fries and rosemary dip on the side. The meat was succulent and the sauce was like a cherry on the top, needless to say we loved the combination.

Ana Penne [AED 65]: We got the pasta without the chicken. Penne pasta cooked in a pink sauce and topped with broccoli.

Desserts

Freeze Dance [AED 43]: With milk cakes trending this year, this cake was similar in some ways but has its own uniqueness as well. A fluffly vanilla sponge cake with a layer of milk sauce and cheese cream drizzled with chocolate sauce on top.

Yo Yo [AED 43]: Being coffeholics we could not resist ourselves from trying this dessert. A combination of coffee biscuit and custard served with an Arabic coffee sauce on the side. It was a blend of chocolate and coffee, two of our favorites so definitely it tasted like heaven for us.

Kudos to the chef and team for getting everything right, both presentation and taste wise.

Service: The staff was friendly and made sure we had a memorable experience.

Cash Outflow: The prices are on the higher side considering their target market is Emiratis but with the taste being offered it is definitely worth the buck.

Circling Back: Cannot wait to come back for more of the Chicken Halloumi and...

Most of us here are #Dubaiyan – born and brought up in Dubai. A city of vast cultures & ethics. Cutting edge, shimmering new, multi-social, and continually pushing the limits, its a city that sprouts out of the sand banks of the Persian Gulf.

Yet again, Dubai doesn’t cease to impress us with it’s newly opened restaurant Ana at Dubai Mall serving Emirati food which is not commonly available. It is a restaurant serving the local food with a twist to satisfy all kinds of taste buds.

A beautiful and classy restaurant located in Dubai Mall which you will mostly find jam packed with locals because no restaurant can match the quality of this place with its modern twist and feels.

Be amazed with a very extensive and exclusive menu of Ana that will keep you drooling for all its dishes. After being in dilemma for a very long time on what to order, as every dish was quite tempting, we went ahead. with the Dill Kashmiri for the starter: An Indian favorite chaat with a twist of Arabic flavors. A giant puri filled up with chickpeas, potato, topped with yogurt, tamarind and vermicelli.

The classic, everyone’s favorite, Hummus, at Ana is available in spicy flavors- Hummus Harr: Its basically Cooked chickpeas banded with tahini, olive oil, coriander, jalapeño, lemon juice, garlic and served with fried onion.

Burrata Salad, like we’ve never had before. Cheesy burrata with a base of sweet and tangy mosambi juice, pomegranate. Leaves your tastebuds with lingering flavors

For the main course, you should definitely opt for the creamy, succulent and fulfilling Skandar kabab- Lamb Kabab wrapped in homemade Iranian bread topped with lemon-yogurt and rosemary sauce served with saffron rice and side yogurt-lemon sauce.

The Mbahar Lamb is my favorite at this joint made of slow cooked lamb shank in creamy curry sauce served with saffron rice and fried mix nuts and onions. The rice has this beautiful fragrance that will temp you further to just dig in the dish as quickly as possible.

Next was the grilled lamb chop dipped in an aromatic cumin and rosemary sauce served with fries. Simple and delicious course that is succulent and just melts n mouth with burst of flavors.

Ana restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate birthdays as the have this very eye pleasing dessert called 1, 2. 3 Find me. This chocolaty dessert is heaven as it is layers of Brownies, vanilla ice cream, chocolate cake, white chocolate custard and side Galaxy sauce. Yummm

Next must order is the Frisbee: Soft baked chocolate cookies topped with Araqy marsbar, toffee sauce, mascarpone ice cream and side coffee sauce. Our was made of brownie but with same topping and flavors. The chocolate that is generously topped on the dessert is made in house its delectable and toothsome.

Pair your desserts with their great options of Coffee’s and local Qahwa and Coffee mixed with nutella and milk known as ‘Last Minute’

The hospitality at the restaurant is quite touching as every staff will make you feel welcomed and at the end of your meal get you their Special Perfumes for a...

Ana serves wide varieties of delicious Emirati food with amazing water fountain views. This restaurant has an amazing concept and beautiful modern interiors which takes you away from the busy mall experience. I was blessed to try this amazing flavorful experience with a blend of perfect palate and scrumptious food which ultimately took me to food coma. I started my evening with some Emirati favorite drink - vimto and virgin strawberry mojito followed by some delish cheese, roca & beets salad, prawn mezze, eggplant fatteh, puffy halloumi. More so over we had prawn biryani, grilled salmon & mix grill platter as main course. And of course, we hogged on some mouthwatering desserts – mysterybox, fluffydance and snowman followed by 4 to go coffee milkshake and soothing americano. I can’t really pick favorites in the menu I tried as everything was well plated and tasted fresh, full of flavors and varieties of texture. Thing I noticed about the food served was that it was light on the stomach (not at all oily) made from fresh produce and some dry fruits was used to give rich flavor to the food. I would also like to mention that their staff was super nice to us and served us with joy and happy face. The place is beautifully designed and has a positive vibe about it. I have enjoyed every bite of food I ate and of course the tasty 4 to go coffee milkshake. Ana also enhanced my experience by offering us some amazing traditional oud fragrance to use with some luxury inhouse made chocolate. In whole this restaurant was able to play with all my 5 senses and I would love to recommend it to anyone who would love to eat some really tasty Emirati food. This tiny hogger, hogged her heart out and left the restaurant in stage of...
