A Taste of Egypt in the Heart of Dubai
As a lover of Egyptian cuisine, I was thrilled to visit this gem for the first time. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was transported to the heart of Cairo by the authentic ambiance and warm hospitality. The menu offers a splendid array of traditional Egyptian dishes, and deciding what to order was not an easy task!. The spices were perfectly balanced, providing warmth without overpowering the dish. The highlight of my meal, however, was the Molokhia. This traditional soup made with minced jute leaves, garlic, and coriander was savory and rich. It was served with tender, perfectly cooked lamb meat, which added an extra layer of flavor.
The staff was knowledgeable and eager to share their love for Egyptian culture and cuisine, which added a personal touch to our dinner. Thanks to Saber and Mohamed El Ghazaly for the great hospitality!!
In conclusion, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience genuine Egyptian flavors and hospitality in Dubai. Whether you're a connoisseur of Egyptian food or trying it for the first time, you're in for a...
Read moreI have come to like Egyptian cuisine since I get to experience it’s distinctness few years back. Their koshari dish & kraft- cheese with honey fatayer are part of foods I crave from time to time.
I’ve always like to try this Egyptian restaurant because apart from from its location which is beside the Duvai Canal, it has wonderful aesthetic that you can view even from outside.
True enough when I tried it, I had one of the best food experience! We started with their Egyptian salad that consisted of avocado & random greens —it was absolutely delicious! We had a taste of their liver, koshari, and the kraft-cheese honey fatayer and boy was I completely satisfied! The best thing about their dishes is that it is cooked well and healthier in a way that it doesn’t have that ghee taste like some other Egyptian restaurants.
This is a must try I should say especially on the winter season because there you get to walk around the Dubai Canal at night. If you’re not fond of walking, you can always ride on RTA ferries.
Kudos as well to their staff & crew who accommodated us...
Read moreI was staying in the Hilton which is walking distance to this restaurant. I was looking for food and saw how many review this had so I walked over there. So many good choices of food, I started off with the Egyptian specialty drink of Karkadi (sweet hibiscus drink). Then I ordered Lamb Shank Fattah. This is a layer of Egyptian bread and white rice. Then topped with Lamb Shank with a side of garlic vinegar sauce. This sauce was insane, super good and had the right amount of sourness, bitterness, sweetness, etc. It really made the dish go and the toasted bread was a really nice touch as well, gave good crunch to the dish. This place was so good I came here again with my collegues. I told them about the Lamb Shank Fattah so they ordered it. We also got Minced Meat Fatayar, Molokhia and Tabbouleh. Personally I ordered Koushari which is rice, pasta, green lentils, chickpeas, fried onions and tomato sauce. We were so full, we couldn't finish everything. But we ended the night with some hookah. Amazing restaurant and would go here all the time if I...
