I am sorry to hear that Café Bateel in Dubai Festival City was crowded and disrupted your peace while you were trying to have a conversation with your friends. However, it's great to know that you enjoyed your green tea and found the date cake really good.
Starting with the positives, Café Bateel is a great spot to enjoy a cup of green tea and indulge in their delectable date cake. The green tea is prepared perfectly and is a great choice for anyone looking for a healthy and refreshing drink. The date cake is a must-try as it is moist, flavorful and tastes just like freshly-baked cake should. The overall ambiance of the cafe is also nice and has a chic and modern feel.
However, the cafe's biggest drawback is the crowding which can make it challenging to have a peaceful conversation with friends. The noise level can be high, and it can be difficult to find a comfortable seating arrangement. This might not be the best option for someone who is looking for a quieter spot to catch up with friends or colleagues.
In conclusion, Café Bateel in Dubai Festival City is a great spot for anyone looking for a chic and modern atmosphere, great tea, and delicious cake. However, the crowding can be a significant challenge for anyone looking for a peaceful...

While trying to find a place with a decent breakfast that can fit my friend’s restrictions and my preferences, we settled on Bateel. They had it all, and most importantly, serving breakfast after morning hours.
When I say they have it all, I mean it. From eggs to sausages to avocados to multiple types of coffee and more. Everything was great and tasted decent, and the cook on the sausages and potatoes was nice.

The place is in the middle of a mall, and not a quiet one. It’s packed with families and babies and the tables are close to each other. Not to mention the noise from the people walking around the place in the mall. So ambience is not ideal.
The service is good but I mean, that’s not a benchmark for charging that much for food.
TLDR: Good food, mediocre environment,...

No, seriously I was referring to this date…okaii. My lovely cousin gifted me these box of dates from Bateel Gourmet and I loved them all! . I am a huge fan of stuffed dates and this dainty box of goodness had all my favourite flavours. Bateel Gourmet got some exquisite date selections be it stuffed, plain, or chocolate dipped- ideal for gifting or just for yourself, they have a variety to settle on. My pretty box contained dates stuffed with pistachios, candied orange rinds, caramelised peacan and salted macadamia. I definitely cannot choose one amongst these as the best because each and everyone one of them were the bestest.
I paired my sweeettt dates with some mango-strawberry tea to cut down the flavours and make it more delightful. These gourmet dates were super delectable, a must try! . Talk about indulging in a date with utmost elegance and happiness. Now…do you still want to go on that date?
Note: These pictures were taken in my home and not...
