This used to be one of our favourite places for dessert. Their Chocolate Sin Cake was top tier and we have enjoyed it at all of their international locations as well (London, Istanbul. Etc.) since 2014. Unfortunately they have decided to discontinue the Sin Cake as of this summer, in favor of a new menu that honestly falls a little flat. We inquired with staff about the Sin Cake and they insisted that the Chocolate Origin pastry is exactly the same inside. We took the chance and tried it but it is extremely subpar in comparison, considerably more expensive and much smaller too. The chocolate coating on the outside does not match the Godiva taste and standard; the mouse is more like cheap pudding, very wet and globby; the cake and crispy layers that made the Sin Cake special are almost completely gone as well due to the smaller size and more mousse/pudding. It now looks and tastes like the dime-a-dozen patisserie mousses that you can find everywhere (eg. Chocolate Molecule Dubai, etc.) It's a shame that a large multinational would pull tricks like this for cost-cutting measures, especially one that is supposed to be a luxury cafe. Please bring back the Milk Chocolate Sin Cake. It has been on your menu for more than a decade and has always been a popular choice to get. Even the staff were very apologetic that it had been removed from the menu, so I am leaving this review as constructive criticism. I really hope you bring it back, it has been a staple on your menu internationally for more than a decade. Overall this comes off as a shrinkflation tactic that is very easily noticable by your customers. The staff at this location were excellent, so the 1 star does not reflect...

I had the pleasure of returning to Godiva for a relaxing break before heading back to the Philippines, and as always, it was an exceptional experience.

The moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Kuya Nelson, who is truly one of the kindest souls I’ve met. His smile and positive energy are always a joy. Ate Mengie also greeted us with such warmth, making us feel instantly at ease.

Food: 10/10 I went for a healthy Strawberry Smoothie this time, and it was simply delicious—fresh, flavorful, and light. My daughter had her favorite Matcha with Oat Milk, and as expected, it was the perfect after-lunch treat. Kuya Nelson even offered us complimentary chocolates, which paired so well with the drinks. I love that Godiva has both indulgent and healthy options on the menu!

Ambience: 10/10 The place is as beautiful and inviting as ever. Even though it was bustling with people, the atmosphere remained serene. It’s the perfect spot to relax, catch up, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

Service: 10/10 What truly sets Godiva apart is the outstanding service. The team, especially Kuya Nelson, always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness and attentiveness make every visit feel special, and I can’t praise them enough for their exceptional customer service.

I would highly recommend Godiva to anyone visiting Dubai Festival City. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a delicious treat, and spend quality time...

Godiva's hot chocolate is a luxurious indulgence that transcends the ordinary. From the moment you take your first sip, you're transported into a world of velvety richness and unparalleled decadence. The hallmark of Godiva's hot chocolate lies in its smoothness. It's not just a beverage; it's a sensory experience. The texture is impeccably velvety, caressing your palate with each sip. The balance of sweetness is perfection, neither overwhelming nor cloying, allowing the deep cocoa flavors to shine through. What sets Godiva apart is its commitment to quality ingredients. Premium cocoa beans are evident in every mouthful, creating a depth of flavor that's robust yet nuanced. Whether you opt for the classic hot chocolate or explore their flavored variations, each cup is a testament to Godiva's dedication to excellence. The presentation is also noteworthy. Served in elegant cups or mugs, adorned with a touch of finesse, it elevates the entire experience to a level of sophistication that is quintessentially Godiva. In essence, Godiva's hot chocolate is not merely a drink; it's a symphony of flavors, textures, and craftsmanship. It's an indulgence worth savoring, especially on chilly days when a cup of warmth and luxury is just what you need to uplift your spirits.

Great service, sweet treats!! Mr. Ahmed and Mr. Nelson in particular were very accommodating and fun to talk to. Went here last Friday and they had the 1+1 ice cream promo which is always good, the ice cream is a mix of vanilla and chocolate with that signature godiva square. Went back on Sunday to try the profiteroles, mango cream cake (not pictured) + spanish latte, and iced matcha latte. Really enjoyed the profiteroles, the cream inside the puff isn’t sweet so it balances well with the sweet ice cream and rich thick chocolate, and the matcha flavor is earthy but not bitter which is just what I prefer. My parents found the spanish latte too sweet and didn’t really enjoy the mango cream cake as much because the mango flavor tastes too artificial but the cake and cream itself was light and airy, it might be better with their white chocolate. Enjoyed the overall experience, friendly service, and you get what you pay for–high quality chocolate and good desserts if you have a sweet tooth! :)
