Shvili Dubai Festival City - DFC — Restaurant in Dubai

As someone who genuinely loves Georgian cuisine, my experience at Shvili was, unfortunately, underwhelming. I had been looking forward to visiting for some time, especially after all the great reviews I came across.

We ordered the eggplant rolls, Khinkali, Megruli Khachapuri, and Odzahari with chicken. The Khinkali were flavorful and well-made, and the Odzahari with chicken was hearty and satisfying — both dishes stood out for the right reasons.

However, the eggplant rolls were disappointing. While the eggplant itself was nicely cooked, the walnut filling tasted quite bitter, almost as if the nuts weren’t fresh, which threw off the overall balance of the dish.

The Megruli Khachapuri was also a letdown. It was made with a mix of mozzarella and what seemed like Qashqwin cheese, which strays from the traditional recipe that typically uses only Sulguni cheese. This impacted both the texture and taste, making it feel less authentic.

Another point worth mentioning is that the portion sizes didn’t quite match the pricing. For the cost, we expected more generous servings, especially for the Odzahari with chicken.

That said, the service was good and the ambiance pleasant, so the overall experience was enjoyable — but when it comes to the food, it sadly didn’t live up to...

The real highlight, however, was our waiter, Subodh. He was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to walk us through each dish, shared thoughtful recommendations, and made sure every detail of our experience was perfect. Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable! ☺️

The food itself was outstanding—perfectly baked khachapuri, tender khinkali, and richly spiced stews that felt like a warm hug in every bite. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked.

If you’re looking for authentic Georgian food served with genuine care and hospitality, this place is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Subodh as your waiter, you’re in for a truly special dining experience. Can’t wait...
