China Town Restaurant, nestled in the bustling Central Mall in Bur Dubai, might not catch your eye at first glance, but it's undoubtedly a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Indo-Chinese cuisine. This quaint, hole-in-the-wall eatery has quickly become my favorite spot, boasting the real taste of Hakka, or as they like to call it, "Tangra style." The best part? The portions are the largest you can imagine, all at extremely affordable prices. They even offer half portions, making it a versatile choice for any appetite. My favorite dishes here include the sweet corn chicken soup and the hot and sour chicken soup, each bursting with flavor. The chicken lollipop tossed in schezwan sauce, also known as 'drums of heaven,' is a must-try, along with the chicken schezwan noodles, triple schezwan rice, hot garlic chicken in gravy, and sweet garlic chicken in gravy. Each dish is meticulously prepared, offering a symphony of flavors that keeps me coming back for more. In a city teeming with culinary options, China Town Restaurant stands out for its authentic flavors, generous portions, and wallet-friendly prices. Whether you're a long-time fan of Indo-Chinese cuisine or looking to explore this culinary delight, this restaurant is a must-visit. Trust me, it's a culinary journey you won't forget!

Good dependable Calcuttan-chinese food, my home place. A bit of old world charm. The food is very very good, wholesome, readily prepared, served in a ziffy- even when they are full. Presentation is routine. Half portions are available of almost all the items. Service is prompt usually. Clean ambience. No music. This new location just inside the Central mall next to Sharaf DG metro station is much smaller now. Before, this restaurant was bigger and was located in the next building. After shifting also, the food quality is same. Prawns and fishes are my favourites. Though all the rest are also very good. The half portion reduces the quantities by a large extent but still very tasty. Highly recommended for a budget plan but very tasty authentic Calcuttan Chinese food..

It was okay. The restaurant is not busy but I think they are short staffed. I have had to inform the staff I would like to place my order. Not sure why my order came in a bowl but there was so much soup. It became like a noodle soup far from the photo on the menu. I must say it taste good and veggies were cooked just right. Menu was extensive-lots of choices and cheap! Service can be improved.

If you order from the Barsha branch, expect manager Waifoo to send you random sized orders. He will try all tricks in the book (and then some!) to paint the customer as the guilty one. When logic eventually wins, he’ll apologise and offer a free meal next time (as compensation for downsizing your order). Then, instead of comping a free meal, will try his luck charging you full price for all dishes (no “one free dish” as promised), and claim adding a “free” third dish of his choice, which he never sends, while actually also messes up one of the two orders (apparently the last noodle dish, so he sends it even if it’s a different dish! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️). When the driver shows up, guess what!

unwanted “Free third dish” isn’t there demands full price for the two actually ordered dishes (so no “free dish” to compensate for sending half size portions last time) one of the two dishes ends up a wrong order! again tries all the tricks in the book attempting to blame the customer.

Eventually we lose our dinner, he loses the sale, delays the driver and loses this and possibly other customers.

Run away as...
