I recently visited Al Kabab Al Afghani in Bur Dubai and had the pleasure of trying their Tabbouleh salad, Houmous plate, and Lamb Kebab as the main dish. Overall, it was a good restaurant experience, delivering what one would expect for the price.
The Tabbouleh salad and Houmous plate were a delightful start to the meal. The freshness of the ingredients in the Tabbouleh salad, including the parsley, tomatoes, and bulgur, created a vibrant and flavorful combination. The creamy and smooth Houmous was a perfect accompaniment, providing a delicious dip for the warm bread served alongside.
For the main dish, I opted for the Lamb Kebab. The kebab was well-cooked and tender, offering a satisfying burst of flavor. It was served with a simple salad and a yogurt sauce that complemented the meat beautifully. The dish was accompanied by an Afghan starchy soup, which added a comforting element to the meal.
The restaurant staff at Al Kabab Al Afghani were friendly, though somewhat shy. While they may not have been overly chatty or outgoing, they were attentive and made sure that the dining experience was pleasant. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.
In terms of ambiance, Al Kabab Al Afghani had a casual and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant had a simple yet comfortable setup, making it a suitable place for a relaxed meal. It offered a glimpse into Afghan cuisine, providing a taste of authentic flavors at a reasonable price.
In conclusion, Al Kabab Al Afghani in Bur Dubai provided a satisfying dining experience. The Tabbouleh salad and Houmous plate were delicious appetizers, and the Lamb Kebab as the main dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The friendly, albeit shy, staff ensured that the service was attentive. While the restaurant may not boast extravagant surroundings, it offered what one would expect for the price, making it a good choice for those seeking a taste of Afghan cuisine in a...

I visited Al Kabab Al Afghani Restaurant and while going through the menu, the waitress recommended one of the most expensive dishes, which I ordered along with a few other items. As soon as the food arrived, flies literally came with the food and started landing all over it.
I immediately called the waitress, and even while she stood there, the flies continued to sit on my main dish, salad, and yogurt, right in front of her eyes. The manager also came over, and I explained the situation, but neither of them apologized or offered any solution. Instead, they blamed another vendor, saying they had subleased part of the space in the front corner and that’s where the flies were coming from. The waitress and the manager both made it seem like as if that somehow made it acceptable!
The food was so unhygienic and disgusting that I couldn’t even finish it. I asked for the check, paid the full bill, and left. Still no apology, no compensation, nothing.
This place is filthy, unsanitary, and completely unprofessional. The lack of hygiene and customer care is shocking. Stay far away from this restaurant unless you want to risk...
Read moreI recently visited Al Kabab Ala Afghani and had a mixed experience with their cuisine. On one hand, their Alo Keema was a delightful surprise. It was well-seasoned and had a great flavor profile, indicating the chef's skill in preparing traditional dishes.
However, the Afghani Pulao didn't quite meet the same standard. While the dish was presented nicely, the lamb BBQ included in the pulao had a noticeable smell that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. This aspect of the dish could certainly benefit from a bit more attention to ensure the freshness and quality of the ingredients.
Overall, my experience at Al Afghan Al Darbar was average. The restaurant has potential, especially evidenced in the tasty Alo Keema, but there are areas, particularly in the quality control of their meat dishes, that need improvement. I hope to see more consistency in their food...
