I would like to share our experience @ chowking alghurair for my son's 1st bday
Deluxe package 50 pax with clown
Very disappointing to the staff/ coordinator they are not hospitable and they don't care for anything
First of all I'm the one who provide all party decorations since they don't know how to make organic balloons l, so it's good for them less expenses and less work for the company,
When I arrived at chowking I brought something and I asked for assistance, one staff she said okay, then we put all the things inside at the restaurant, and I'm thinking they will help us to put it upstairs since the lady said they will help, so I went out and smoke for 2min only then I thought they already put the things upstairs but still there and no one does, so me and my friend the one who brought it upstairs,
When we are on the 2nd floor I saw the coordinator just sitting there. And not even ask for any assistance no any initiative, while making decorations no one even offer for water, in short the customer service is really bad,
During the bday ceremony no cake cutting happen so cake just lying on the table while the guest already ate, because of the false party plan they did the cake on last part so how the will eat the cake. But over all for the entertainment the clown is really Good he did the show very entertaining
Then meal, I ddint even check if they put 50pcs plates then all of the sudden they said no more plates and I have to pay extra, I didn't even check if they put 50pcs exactly or what, and the bad thing they charge us additional plates they count also the kids who used plates! Kids who just 5years even some guest they change their plate after their 1st round some guest change their plates.
And this is the worst part, after the party no one help us to put down our things like the gifts, and they saw me removing and dismantling our balloon backdrop and some other decorations, literally no one help! What kind of service is that! No initiave! I think the people who works there needs proper training how to handle party and client, Ive been doing parties and events for more than 10 years in uae, and I know how to handle clients give them a memorable experience not worst experience, is that how you treat your clients?
I even give tips for them even they are not helping, even they don't care so they will have shame on their self.
And also one guy, embarrassed my wife and my cousin and our god mother, because of the photo booth while taking pictures they are not aware the camera is already capturing photos, then they said bro we are not ready and disrespectfuly the one who's in the photo booth, TUMAWA LANG KAYO HANGGANG GUSTO NYO, his so lucky because I was not there and my wife informed me when we reach home, even the hard copies of the photos doesn't print all
We did party here because we think they will give us excellent service because the staff are Filipinos, Filipino's mostly are hospitable and good when it comes customer service, but I wasn't expect they will give a worst service,
This feedback I hope there will be improvement of the staff so they will learn NXT Time how to handle clients...
Read moreLet me start with this yet another underestimated restaurant that is @chowking_uae . I must have visited this restaurant twice in my life ,never actually went through their authentic orient cuisine that deeply. This time I got a chance to actually look into and properly dine in to taste their Chinese dishes .
I went to try their @alghuraircentre branch and trust me it was totally worth it. The restaurant itself is spacious with lovely casual Chinese decor and different seating arrangements for families . I was amazed of how well they were organised , each staff were really fast at their services and best of all everything was delicious and portions were generous.
I started with the appetizers which were the 'Asado' , a fluffy soft bun with the chicken filling served with soya sauce . One of the best steamed bun I had till now . Then was the 'Siomai' chicken basically fried dumplings which was nice too and lastly were the 'Spring rolls ', simple basic spring rolls . The drinks which I had were the Avocado juice topped with Vanilla ice cream and secondly I really love the Iced Milk Tea ' Nai Cha' something new for me but highly recommend this tea .
Many options you can find at @chowking_uae when it comes to oriental cuisines. Different options with the choices of sauces to choose from . I had the 'Crispy fried prawns in Szechwan sauce mixed with vegetables , delicious tempting mild spiced you will surely enjoy .
Then was the ' Veg Manchurian' another good choice for vegetarians and even for people looking for veg options yet enjoy the stir fry.
Then was the 'Stir fry chicken' in sweet and sour sauce totally delicious and most amazing thing is it is sharable with 2 to 3 people. Portion is served generously which is always a plus point from me to any restaurant ,who's quality and quantity is quite good at servings.
How can you not try their noodles menu when you visit Chinese restaurant. In @chowking_uae I choose to have 'Chicken Hakka Noodles' amazingly happy with the portion and the taste too. Served in hot plate flat pan fresh handmade noodles tossed in chicken and veggies in their special touch of sauces .
Then was the huge bowl of 'Tom Yum' soup bit of spicy with hot and fresh ingredients cooked in the flavourful broth . Loved the soup and the aroma .
And lastly the Rice special I can't resist to have ' Nasi Goreng ' excellent fried rice , I went for spicy with the perfect fried egg on top .The gooey yolk made it more delicious .Best Nasi Goreng I have tasted so far . Highly recommend it .
A good selection of Chinese desserts . I choose to have 'Sesame balls' in another words this desserts have different names in Chinese, "Jian Dui , Buchi ,Matuan , Goma Dango, Banh Cam. A delicious gummy texture made of rice flour and it might have fillings inside or just simple . My Pakistani friends will understand well it is exactly like 'Anderse ki Gooliyan'😉. Do visit @chowking_uae for this...
Read moreDear Chowking Management,
We would like to express our disappointment regarding our experience during the celebration of our son’s 1st birthday held on October 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
While we truly appreciate the efforts of your coordinator, Junichi, who went above and beyond to assist us and provide everything we needed for the event, we were very disappointed that none of the managers were present to address or explain the issue with our booking.
We had originally booked Hall 1 on August 3, 2025, for our event on October 18, 2025 (6:00–9:00 PM). However, a week before the event, we had not received any updates regarding our booking. We contacted your team on Monday, October 13, through WhatsApp and phone call, and were assured of a callback within the day — which unfortunately never came. The same thing happened on Tuesday, October 14, despite our follow-up.
After insisting to speak with someone, we were finally provided Junichi’s contact, and we were able to communicate the following day. Upon arrival at the venue, Junichi did everything he could to accommodate us and manage the setup, for which we are truly grateful.
However, we were never informed by the management why Hall 1 was unavailable, and were instead provided the ground floor area, which had no air-conditioning and very limited space for our 50 guests. It was far from what we expected and from the level of service we’ve previously experienced with Chowking. Although a 15% discount was offered as compensation, the inconvenience and discomfort our guests experienced made the occasion less enjoyable.
We have been loyal customers of Chowking, having celebrated our civil wedding in 2021 and our daughter’s baptism in 2022 at your branch — both times we were treated exceptionally well. That is why this recent experience was such a disappointment.
We sincerely hope that this matter will be reviewed and addressed seriously so that other customers will not experience the same inconvenience...
