I wish to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the experience my roommate and I had during our recent stay at your hotel in Al Rigga, which resulted in both distress and a medical emergency.
Upon arrival at approximately 5:00 AM on 1st may 2025 ,exhausted from travel, we were checked into Room 955 on a smoking floor without our prior consent or notification. As non-smokers, and given that I was already experiencing a mild flu, this presented immediate discomfort. To make matters worse, the telephone in the room was faulty, preventing us from reaching reception. When we managed to report the issue in person, our concerns were largely ignored—only one security staff accompanied us back to the room, and no alternative arrangements were made at the time.
The next morning, despite being out of the room for hours, housekeeping failed to service our room. No water bottles were replenished, the room was not cleaned, and the general service was lacking. Consequently, we spent the second night in an unmade room.
The health consequences were severe. I suffered a respiratory attack, an escalation of my initial flu, which necessitated an emergency visit to Rashid Hospital. My roommate also experienced similar symptoms, including headaches likely due to the cigarette smoke exposure.
After continued complaints, we were finally moved to Room 855 on the 8th floor thanks to one understanding receptionist. We were granted a late checkout (5:00 PM the next day) and assured of a discounted extension rate of AED 343 per night with breakfast.
However, upon returning after 5:00 PM, we were told the rate had changed to AED 469 per night. Only after a heated exchange and the intervention of a senior supervisor was the agreed rate of AED 346 reinstated. We then paid for three additional nights.
Despite the promise that breakfast was included, we were again confronted during breakfast on 4th May by the F&B Manager, who rudely informed us that our extension did not cover breakfast. This information had never been communicated to us, leading to yet another unpleasant exchange.
We cannot help but feel that the recurring lack of transparency, poor service, and unprofessional conduct were possibly motivated by discrimination based on our race, origin, or appearance. This is unacceptable and deeply disheartening.
We request: A formal written apology from hotel management. A partial refund for the nights in Room 955 and the unmade second night. Compensation for the medical costs incurred as a result of the respiratory attack. Assurance that appropriate steps will be taken to address systemic service and discrimination issues.
We hope for a swift, sincere response and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at ibis Hotel, and I must say it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and the high level of professionalism shown by the entire team.
The hospitality was outstanding throughout my stay. Every staff member was courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. I would like to give special thanks to Su and Pragya for their exceptional support and kindness. Their thoughtful gestures and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference and truly made me feel like I was at a "home away from home."
The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. Every meal was freshly prepared and flavorful, making dining at the hotel a delightful experience in itself.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The service was prompt, and all amenities were up to the mark. The overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind.
I sincerely appreciate the efforts of the entire ibis team for making my stay so smooth and memorable. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of professionalism and personal care in hospitality.

Read moreStayed at Ibis deira for an overnight stay on Transit in Dubai. Due to low season room charges were economical.
It is 400 meter 6-7 minutes walk from the Alrigga metro station which is convenient if the weather is good otherwise in afternoon it's too hot to manage this walk. Better use taxi to commute.
On arrival was greeted warmly by the front desk, a Philippino receptionist who was efficient enough and room was assigned within minutes against my booking through booking.com.
As per ibis standard room was good with all amenities to be available in a 3 star hotel. For me it was a small room with boring dim lights turning it boring and depressing vibes. Bed was comfortable with medium pillows. Lifts were fast & corridors were clean and well lit. There was ice cube machine on the same floor and a small fully equipped gym.
Washroom was too congested not good for a tall person like me. It was hardly 20 sqft with very less space between everything in it. Shower pressure was good fresh towels were there in the room before arrival.
Asked for the electric socket converter available at the reception as I was using EU charger which was not supported by hotel switches.
Room overlooked in the courtyard of the hotel which was dull.
Had a peaceful sleep at night with no noises from the corridors. Overall experience was good for...
