NO REFUND (Story before this mentioned under Landmark Summit review)
Then we felt there is something wrong going on, so we waited for few more days & then have called to the hotel landline directly on 10th June, Someone from the reception answered the call and told us the hotel is closed and we need to contact "Landmark Grand Hotel, Al Rigga Road, Deira" that reception staff was not ready to help us at any cost, after many requests, he shared one of their sales guy numbers, We called and that kind person shares us another contact number with us and asked us to follow with him regarding our refund as landmark Summit & landmark Grand accounts are Merged now due to COVID. The number shared by the sales guy was Mr. Ronald (Job designation - Group SME). On the 10th July itself we have called Mr. Ronald and he answered our call and apologies for the delay and assure us that he will follow up with the finance and team and proceed with our refund as soon as possible, but all we need to do share the payment receipt once again with him through What's app. we trust him and we have shared the details once again with him. but no refund, once again after a week on 17th June we had a follow-up Mr.Ronald on call, He asked my husband to come to the hotel and collect the cash refund, but due to workload my husband requested Mr.Ronald to proceed the refund in his bank account and he shared his bank account details with Mr.Ronald on whats app. On 25th June once again we texted Mr. Ronald regarding our refund & he replied that once he reached office he will follow up with his team, so requested him and informed him that we are waiting for his response/update. We didn't receive any response r update from Mr.Ronald, so on 26th June by afternoon we have texted him once again and asked him that why he also stop answering our msgs and whats the status of our refund. So he replied that he's not working on Friday & Saturday and his finance guy was ill so he didn't report to the office. (Is in it strange for such big hotel to have only one finance guy who's handling everything and the entire landmark group) and he said they are committed to refund our money and they will do it, still, my husband asks him for a timeline by when we can expect our money to be refunded, So Mr. Ronald replied by next day or by Sunday(28th June) and he will update us as the finance team already processed the paper, it's a matter of transferring. and finally by today after losing all our hopes and patience and before writing such a big story on google review we had our last follow up with Mr.Ronald regarding our refund. The response from Mr. Ronald is the ultimate and prove how they are so casual about their customers "Mr. Ronald's reply to us - I was told that it was processed, hence I thought you must have received it, let me check and get back to you" then within a second he shared a new contact number of his accountant and asked us to...
Read moreI chose Landmark Grand Hotel for my 12night stay during a busy exhibition period in October. The main reasons were the convenient location to the Union metro station, Al Ghurair shopping mall, night market and lots of restaurants in the area, along with other local amenities. As I had an early flight, they were very helpful with earlier check-in, not something you can always rely on, they tried their best and managed to squeeze me in after some wait in the lounge. Regrettably, there was a small mixup and I ended up in a smoking room, but they changed it after a further wait. I cannot thank the helpful and switched-on receptionist enough for this. There were a large selection from variety of cuisines when I opted for breakfast - fee payable as you go in the dining area. On most occasion I had the swimming pool for myself as I was using in the least busy times. Watch out as the it closes around 18:00 or 19:00 depending on the day of the week. During my stay the staff always acknowledged me and tried to be helpful to other guests where possible. The downside points, you can tell the furniture and equipment had seen better days, the bed was for too soft my liking. When I tried to extend my stay, they couldn't match the rates offered by Booking when I talked to the staff, so I had to do so via Booking and then asked them to keep my room, which they allowed me keep - another thank you. Lastly, I felt a bit disappointed when I asked for an invoice they couldn't do it at the time, but they never emailed it as they promised. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider staying again if it served its purpose as on my last stay. Read moreMy wife and I got married here on November 8th for the price we payed the service we received during our wedding was dreadful our projector was broke and could not function the hotel offers no assistance some of the items we were offerd for our event was not honored the food was amazing however the service was a lack there of knowone checked or topped up any of the food trays there was no server present our photographer had to instruct and ask the hotel staff to assist or do there job our guests had to assist and offer to help do things then at the end of our evening the hotel staff all showed up about 40 min early and started cleaning up before we were done making us feel like we had to exit before the event was over. Our host was unavailable for our event the fill in could not speak English so only half our guests knew what was being said although he kept apologizing the host skipped half of our event planning cutting out all the dances and games planned for the guests. My dream party the decorations were to die for they were beautiful my wife and I and our guests were so amazed. So as for my review for the hotel I do not recommend this hotel for an event like a wedding for the price you pay and the service you receive is not good this hotel needs a better understanding of event planning and service.
