Unfortunately, our New Year’s Eve experience at this restaurant was far from successful. From the beginning, we specifically requested a table near the closest spot with a view of the Burj Khalifa. However, upon contacting the restaurant via messages, we were told that no specific table could be promised but assured we’d have a great view.

When we arrived, the tables with the best views were reserved for others. When we inquired why, we were told that those guests had paid more—something that was never communicated to us when we booked. We had purchased the most expensive tickets available at the time, yet this information about price-based seating was entirely omitted.

Additionally, we were not informed that the tickets represented a credit we could use to order anything we wanted. Instead, we were presented with a fixed menu and were only told at the end of the evening that we had used just 20% of our credit. This lack of transparency was frustrating and left us feeling misled.

The food was fine, and the view was indeed extraordinary. However, the music was excessively loud for a dining-focused restaurant. The limited space made it impossible to dance, and the tightly packed tables meant we couldn’t even have a proper conversation due to the volume of the music.

Very disappointing experience. Nice venue and impressive looking menu. Ordered escargot and onion soup which were both good. However the mains were not good at all. The veal in white sauce (blanquette de veau) was fatty and tasteless. The coquillettes (which is very small pasta) was not what was served. when we asked the manager why they had served chifferi (a larger pasta) the manager seemed to have no clue what the difference was. Not all pasta is created equal and if you’re touting yourself as a fine dining french restaurant, the least you could do is serve what you advertise, and know the difference when challenged , especially when this is my favourite dish. Our main server noticed that we hadn’t eaten the veal and asked why. I told them it was fatty and tasteless. The manager then came over and asked the same, and I repeated why I hadn’t eaten it. He said sorry and walked away. On getting the bill no effort has been made to either remove the veal from the menu or at least discount the bill/offer a dessert. No effort was made at all to address the issues with the meal. I raised the lack of customer service levels with the server and they said they had no power to do anything about it.
