We had a very disappointing experience at Arabeska Restaurant last night. We were a group of six, all Indians, and from the moment we arrived, the service was incredibly poor. We were expecting to have a good time, but unfortunately, we ended up feeling completely let down.
The fries were served with absolutely no salt – completely bland. There was also no cruet set on the table, and we had to repeatedly ask for the menu, which took far too long to receive.
The staff were unresponsive, and we felt completely ignored throughout our visit. Despite trying to order several times, we were continually brushed aside. What made the situation even worse was the feeling that we were being treated differently because of our ethnicity. Everyone around us seemed to be either European or Emirati, and it was clear to us that the staff were giving them much more attention.
All guests who visit the restaurant are paying the same currency, so it’s baffling why we were treated this way. The bias was undeniable, and it left all of us feeling uncomfortable.
We were planning to order a lot of food, beverages, and shisha, but because of the appalling service, we decided to leave. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I’ve ever encountered, and I truly believe the restaurant could benefit from learning about hospitality from places like India.
