Yesterday, I had a truly fantastic experience, enjoying the charming atmosphere at Jones the Grocer!
A beautiful hostess, Mary, met me with a joyful smile and offered me different options of seating to accommodate me most comfortably for dinner, (I hadn't even considered sitting outside, but it was such an amazing suggestion by her, as the nighttime weather in Dubai is perfect for it and the little lights on the tables make it super cute and cozy!
If you are going to have a date, any special occasion, or even a non-special event same as my time dining alone, this place perfectly suited for all occasions.
I chose the pretty table in the corner and that's when Jaminul introduced himself and started to take care about me!
I could tell straight away that making the customer happy was his main priority!
Jaminul is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He started to give me a lot of drinks recommendations, alcoholic cocktails and non alcoholic mocktails, but as a procaffeinating individual, I was eager to have a cup of lifeblood - and after trying one, I would probably say that this place is a must for all coffee lovers!
Jaminul suggested a lot of different food option and shared his own preferences (looks like he is really into this cuisine, describing everything so deliciously and vividly!) But last night I felt like something light and veggy... And the vegan wrap became an ideal option.
Jaminul suggested different sauces to come with it, but I felt like the original variant will be the perfect one... And it was.
I peered round the restaurant while I waited and it seemed like they were having a Christmas function (the whole place was a bustle), yet my food almost got to my table before I got back! I was very impressed with the speed amongst what looked like a busy service
The food was absolutely amazing â everything melted in my mouth! I loved the veggy combination, expecially cauliflower and hummus!
In general I felt that the staff cares about your experience as even the chef Shiraaz (it is something I experienced for the first time in my life) came out to check on my satisfaction and even gave me some dessert advice and extra wet wipes, showing an extra touch!
The cherry on the top came as a recommendation from the chef: the " Hello, pistachi-yo" milk cake with torched meringue and candied pistachio ice cream was indescribably good!!!
Just when I thought the night was done, the manager, Gourav, then came to me to see how things were and if there's anything more he could do to better my experience of the night!! I felt like royalty!
Well, or was definitely an experience worth talking about and I thank the entire staff there so much! I will deffinelty come again!
And if someone is reading my feedback here, wondering if they should give Jones The Grocer a try, I HIGHLY recommended you do yourself a flavour and visit this lovely...
Read moreWe stayed at the Delta JBR for a week and practically lived at Jones the Grocer â we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here every single day! Overall, our experience was very positive.
Highlights: Consistently High Quality: The vast majority of the time, the food was simply excellent. Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes, and pleasant presentation. Convenience & Atmosphere: Incredibly convenient location within the Delta JBR. The cafe has a relaxed and comfortable vibe, suitable for both business lunches and family dinners. Wide Selection: The menu is diverse, offering plenty of choice for any taste (breakfasts, salads, pastas, burgers, mains, desserts). The breakfasts and coffee were particularly great. Service: The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our entire stay. Value (Generally): Considering the level of the establishment and its location, the average bill of around 750 AED for 4 people felt fair for the good quality food and service we received most of the time.
One Drawback: Inconsistency: Unfortunately, during our week of intensive visits, we had bad luck on a couple of occasions. Dishes we had tried before and knew to be tasty were prepared so poorly or tasted so off (perhaps an off day in the kitchen or different ingredients?) that we had to leave them. This was really disappointing, especially given our positive experiences on all the other days.
The Bottom Line:
Jones the Grocer at Delta JBR is our top spot on The Walk because of its convenience, atmosphere, and, mostly, excellent food. We would recommend it without hesitation and will definitely return on our next visit. However, we'd like to wish the kitchen team just a bit more attention to consistency in executing all dishes perfectly, every single day. We hope those rare instances were exceptions and not a trend. Overall â a solid four stars! đ
p.s. our children liked the restaurant and they asked to go there, despite the presence of other...

I recently enjoyed dinner there with my husband for âdate nightâ and was really impressed with both the food and the service.
We began our evening with a few appetizers- my favourite being the Burrata & Slow Cooked Tomatoes. The chili flakes and hot honey gave it a delicious kick! We also indulged in a few cocktails, with a full drink menu available.
For our main courses, we ordered the Chargrilled Striploin that was cooked to perfection â juicy, tender and full of flavor. We also tried one of their newest dishes, the Beef Ragu with Pappardelle. Comfort food at its finest!
Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we continued with the Wagyu Sliders! We loves a Jones burger, and these were exactly what we expected- perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. A must-try if youâre visiting! Add a side of sweet potato fries for the ultimate combination!
For dessert, we finished off with the Lemon & Vanilla Posset. Recommended to us as a fan favourite, we were really impressed.
On top of the amazing food, the ambiance is laid back and relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive, checking up on us frequently to ensure our comfort.
Overall, a great spot whether youâre out for a casual meal or something a bit...
