My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Dubai Marina from November 30th to December 2nd, 2024. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the incredible hospitality, luxurious accommodations, and prime location. Luxurious Living with a View - We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the hotel's 3-bedroom Marina-facing suites. The suite itself was simply stunning. Spacious, elegantly decorated, and featuring breathtaking views of the vibrant Dubai Marina, it provided the perfect setting for a relaxing and memorable family getaway. Waking up to the sparkling waterfront each morning was an absolute treat. The suite was impeccably maintained and offered all the amenities one could ask for, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. Exceptional Service and Hospitality - From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive and eager to assist, making us feel truly valued as guests. In particular, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Takee the Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The renovated apartments are good and the design and functionality well thought through. Rooms are sound proof, which is good. Location is also very practical because it's in front of the tram and close to the beach. But that's it.

The cleaning is very superficial. Even though I complained at the reception, it hasn't improved much afterwards. Sometimes they don't wipe the kitchen and oil stains were left there. Other times, they didn't vacuum or refill the toiletries. It depends very much on the cleaner.

At the pool, it happened a few times that I couldn't find a sun lounge. The staff should control that better. Many sun loungers look occupied, but that's because the lazy guests leave their towels there and don't come back. Sometimes I saw one person occupying multiple sun loungers just for 1 person and sit on one for a few minutes only just because it was in the sun, while other people were coming and didn't have where to sit. The sun at the pool is only until 1 pm, afterwards it disappears behind the building. For such a big hotel, the pool area is too small.

I once asked for a towel to go to the beach, they told me I need to ask for a different towel at the reception, which I did. When I arrived at the beach, the towel stank musty and had stains on it.

The restaurant has the atmosphere of a school hall canteen at breakfast. Guest are very loud, children screaming, staff smashing plates and cutlery, anything but relaxing. I went once for dinner there and told them to put the bill on the room because I wanted to use my vouchers accumulated from my membership status, they tried to force me to pay there, I said no. In the end they managed to clarify and put the bill on the room, but it took half an hour for such a standard procedure.

The gym was so and so. For a hotel that size, quite small and not much choice of machine.
