Absolutely one of the nicest dinners we have had in a long time. Place is beautiful, music is good and place is busy so good idea to make a rzv. Wednesday night the place was buzzing.
We have sampled a lot of dishes amongst us 3.
Heirloom carrots with smoked labne absolutely delicious. Presentation and taste spot on. My personal fave in cold section.
Scallops with corn was fave of my friend.
Burrata with shezuan sauce is a nice alternative to the usual burrata served everywhere. Good to share as it is rather a big portion.
Kpop cauliflower was a star. We had to order 2 portions. I do not do deep fried food usually but these Crispy thinly sliced cauliflowers in a spicy sauce was to die for. Absolute hit. Best cauliflower we ever had.
Short ribs with rice … it easily could be a main course. The broccolis on the side were delicious and short rib slices were melting in mouth. Dish still would be great without rice.
Wagyu prawn potstickers were my least fave as i felt a heavy taste/smell on the broth and the dumplings. But my friends disagreed with me and ate it all.
Cuttle fish was battered and deep fried with lots of chilli. As it was served under grills section we were under the impression that it’d be grilled. I did not like It however my friends washed it down with beer. But absolutely my least fave dish of the day.
Salmon was cooked to perfection. So soft, melts in mouth.
We have received mango dessert with compliments of the chef. Nice gesture. Ordered creme brulee- brulee was very tasty personally i believe without tapioca it’d be much better. I get where the idea comes from but tapioca was too chewy to my liking and i am a tapioca lover normally. We also tried the chocolate desert different textures of chocolate. The choco rocks making process is entertaining.
The only thing is we were there for a birthday celebration, during the day they rang me and take the name of my friend to make the desert a birthday one even though we had 3 desserts thinking OK this first one we ordered was lost in translation, next one will come with the happy birthday. Second time chance was missed again. So we had 3rd desert and still no happy birthday was written. Then we gave up.
But Darryl made sure 2 out of 3 deserts was on the house which was a nice touch as we really did not mind paying as we had a great dinner , great food and was chuffed with the service too.
Definitely we will be back.

Read moreJuns restaurant was a mixed experience, not what I expected.
I was really excited to try this restaurant, but honestly, it didn’t match my expectations.
We started with the chili butter and warm bread — the butter was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor with a great texture, and the bread was soft and fresh. The only downside was the butter-to-bread ratio — way too much butter for the amount of bread provided.
The labneh and carrot starter was both beautifully presented and flavorful, though a mouthful of plain labneh all at once was a bit overwhelming.
For mains:
The sea bass was one of the softest I’ve ever had, but I personally didn’t enjoy the strong fishy flavor. Not sure if that’s how it usually is, or just that day. The fennel and apple salad on top did help balance it a bit.
We also ordered the chicken curry and asked for it mild, but it came very spicy. To their credit, the staff apologized sincerely and replaced it. The flavor was good, but the chicken had bones, skin, and cartilage — not my preference at all, although I know some people might enjoy that style.
The vegetable tempura noodles were nicely cooked, and the sauce had great depth. The tempura was crispy and tasty, but unfortunately had an old oil flavor — something I wouldn’t expect from a place listed among the top 50 restaurants.
For dessert:
The strawberry panna cotta looked beautiful, topped with tapioca pearls — but the pearls didn’t really add anything and felt unnecessary.
As a kind gesture (after the spicy chicken issue), they brought us an extra dessert — the Ube pie. It was interesting, a bit too sweet for me, and not something I’d order again.
They also gave us a crème brûlée bubble tea dessert, which was amazing! The texture was spot on and the bubble tea topping added a unique finish.
We also had two drinks — can’t recall the names, but they were just okay. Interesting flavors, but nothing memorable.
The service was excellent — professional, attentive, and kind. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.
The ambiance was classy and elegant. We went during Ramadan, so it was quiet and peaceful.
Overall, it was an interesting experience, but the flavors didn’t really click for me. I probably wouldn’t return — though I can see how others might enjoy it. Pricing was fair for the kind of...
Read moreI'd heard such good things about @junsdubai so I just had to try it for myself as I was getting a severe case of FOMO!
I can honestly say that everything about this place is just amazing. From the moment I booked the table the staff were so courteous and so quick to answer any questions I had. They were very helpful and very efficient. Since it's August and a mild 51 degrees outside, we felt best to play it safe and eat inside however, I could still enjoy my cocktails whilst enjoying the view of the beautiful Burj Khalifa. We opted for the brunch option as we wanted to try dishes that we wouldn't usually choose from the A la carte and I am so glad we did! I can honestly say that yesterday, I ate like an absolute Queen! For many others that might be the 'norm' when you go out to eat or go for brunch but for a coeliac, the opportunity to indulge in lots of different choices on a menu (especially in Dubai) is very lacking. We were lucky enough to meet the very gracious Chef Kelvin himself and he explained to us that his wife is also coeliac and this is the reason why he has made sure that the majority of his menu is gluten free or includes dishes that can easily be modified to be gluten free. For me, this is so, so refreshing. Many places in Dubai have 0 understanding when it comes to gluten free and what being coeliac truly means which then makes me feel anxious when eating out.
@junsdubai has now become my new favourite go to restaurant, not only because the service, the quality and the food is absolutely phenomenal, but for me, it's a safe haven where I have no need to doubt that what I'm being served, will be safe for me. I can fully relax and revel in the most delicious, flavoursome dishes and Chef Kelvin, we will be back very, very soon! 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you so much to you and your...
