My experiences with Laffah , both through online orders and direct visits, have been quite disappointing, leaving me with some notable grievances.
In my attempts to place online orders, I faced a recurring issue. Despite requesting a specific modification – to have powder on top of potato chips – on three separate occasions, my instructions were not followed. The repeated oversight of such a simple request was not only frustrating but also indicative of a lack of attention to detail in their online ordering process.
On-site visits proved to be equally challenging. Having to wait in long queues for a table or chair was an all-too-common occurrence, especially during the evenings. This wait time significantly detracted from the overall dining experience and led me to question whether the visit was worthwhile.
While the level of customer service was average, it unfortunately did little to alleviate the frustrations caused by the online order mishaps and the queuing inconvenience. Moreover, parking near the restaurant, particularly in the evenings and nights, was a challenge in itself.
However, I must commend Laffah for a few positive aspects. Their Fried Chicken is undeniably amazing, and their Fried Potato Fries/Chips with Spices are an absolute treat, especially when paired with their delectable Garlic sauce. The Avocado Shake is a standout item as well, offering a delightful burst of flavor. Additionally, their Double Burger proved to be a creamy and satisfying indulgence.
While Laffah does have some noteworthy items, the recurring online order issues and the hassles of on-site visits cast a shadow over the...
Read moreVisited on Saturday evening (4th Jan 2025) approximately at 9:15pm. The cashier misbehaved with me because apparently if you're eating in the outside sitting area and you go to pay the cashier inside the restaurant, you need to tell him that you've already had your meal and not just what you had. I paid for my meal after telling him '1 large chicken shawarma'. He generated a new order for a new shawarma, not a receipt to give me to take home. When i informed him that I've ate already, he lost his composure and told me that he would need to pay for my meal because I only told him '1 Shawarma' and not '1 Shawarma and I've already ate it'. Well, i'm not responsible on how the management operates. I'm a customer and the management must know that I've been served food already. I paid for my food and was done. They must've handled the 'order status' problem internally, not by talking to me with disrespect. Will never visit Laffah again and will never order a delivery because the cashier was disrespectful by being very-very arrogant, that's not the way to speak to customers. I run businesses as well, that's not how I speak to customers. If your internal POS/cash-machine systems don't allow you to change the order status, your customer is not at fault. Your management is. Btw, the waiters outside told me to let the cashier know. So i let the cashier know that it was a large chicken shawarma. But i was not informed to let him know that I've already had it in the outside sitting area before paying. Anyway, i paid for my meal and left while he was being disrespectful, never having food from...
Read moreI came here especially to try the meat and chicken shawarma. I was so disspointed considering all the hype around this place. I ordered the chicken shawarma on Saj and beef shawarma on Saj and a fatoush salad.
The chicken shawarma was really basic and really had no flavour and the garlic sauce was more of a garlic mayonnaise vs a traditional toum garlic sauce which I expected them to serve. The best thing was the texture of the bread.
The beef shawarma was much better and definitely had more flavour, but still not nowhere close to the quality I was looking for.
The Fatoush salad was really not good and they used too much pomegranate molasses, which turned it into a super sweet salad, which I could only handle a few spoons of.
So dissapointed and I feel the people coming here have very low standards and are overratting the shwarma and food here.
I later spoke to the owner to pass on my feedback and he told me it's always busy and it's the most affordable Lebanese food around and I should have asked the waiter for the white garlic sauce. He also mentioned people like lots of pomegranate molasses on their fatoush.
Coming from London I expected a better quality of shawarma or something on the same level as cafe Helen (Edgware Road)
I would personally be happy to pay more and have an unforgettable mouth watering experience.
I guess I have to go to Lebanon so I can have the world's...
