I’ve been a loyal customer for 20 years, and have been coming here since I was a kid and continue to visit this place every time I’m back in UAE. This place has been an institution for us Karama kids who have grown up around the area.
I’m so saddened and disappointed at how much the quality and standards of this place has fallen. Our sizzler had hard, rubbery chicken pieces, limp bland vegetables, soggy mushy fries, and bland stodgy pepper sauce gravy, it’s a far cry from what it used to be in its heydays. The chilli chicken appetizer was honestly disgusting - the sauce had no flavour and the chicken was so rubbery and hard. God knows what low quality meat they are now using! And the sizzling brownie was also disappointing. It arrived with the ice cream already melted, brownie was burnt and the ice cream itself tasted like some cheap low quality brand. Didn’t even taste like vanilla. Service was non-existent, we had to flag down a waiter for cutlery after our food arrived and in general, service felt cold and inattentive. Big difference compared to the friendly, warm and almost family like service that used to be there back in the day. Looks like COVID really destroyed all the good restaurants in Dubai. Sad to say that I won’t be back anymore, but will fondly think of the good memories I had with friends and family in this place...
Read moreI am on a strict diet for a month, but last night @yokodubai made me break it! But it was all worth and i am glad i did it and would do it for @yokodubai again. The menu had variety of dishes but i tried the super duper yummyy "Chicken Noodles Cream Soup" and OMG!!! It was the best cream soup i have ever dreamt of. It really matched their tag line "soups for your soul!" It literally was for my soul! Then i tried the "Beef Steak Sandwhich" which reminded me of my childhood when mommy used to pack school breakfast for us! What better can i say! And then what can we not have when we come to Yoko Sizzlers! Yesss....its sizzling time 😃 We ordered the "Yoko Special Chicken" and "Mixed Grill Steak". Do i need to say anything??? Please try it yourself and thank me later 😁 The last but not the least...everyones favourite....its desssssert time ⏰ i asked for a hot and "Sizzling Brownie" with vanilla icecream on top and a "Banana Split" with vanilla, strawberry and mango icecream 😄 A must try place. P.S. They also give games to play as a table mat while we wait for the food. Its addictive as you can see from the picture 🤦🏻♀️🥰

Read moreMy recent experience at Yoko Sizzlers left me with mixed feelings. While the chicken was undeniably tender and succulent, and the gravy boasted a delightful blend of flavors, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the overall presentation. The chicken in my sizzler dish was incredibly soft and practically melted in my mouth with each bite. The gravy, too, was a standout feature, offering a rich and savory taste that complemented the chicken perfectly.
Yoko Sizzlers fell short was in the presentation department. Despite the delicious flavors, the dish lacked visual appeal. The plating seemed haphazard, and there was little effort put into making the dish look appetizing. In today's age of social media and food photography, presentation plays a significant role in enhancing the dining experience, and unfortunately, Yoko Sizzlers missed the mark in this regard.
Overall, while I enjoyed the flavors of the chicken and gravy, I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the lackluster presentation. With a little more attention to detail in plating and presentation, Yoko Sizzlers could truly elevate the dining experience for its customers and to truly appeal to a broader demographic, including the Western...
