I felt a little heartbroken through the experience. The intent is in the right place: offering an interactive dinner experience. The staff is very kind and trying hard. It feels like watching an 11-year old singer perform their best, you really want to encourage them, but unless it's your child, you won't pay 1600 AED for 2 people for this ( out of which we got 1 premium package worth 650 + birthday cake with wine pairing). This was perhaps worth 600 for 2.

Let's break it down. The food has the looks of something good, but not the flavor. From the soup served cold, the welcome sour shot tasting like industrial kid's candy, the overpowering sauces accompanying a too-dry beef-en-croute with almost no sides and unbalanced amounts of fat, a rose chocolate pastry that feels, again, overpowered with artificial flavors.

The wines were not introduced, served in about 30-40% of a regular serving size, and overall tasted like entry-to-medium quality.

Let's talk about the positives: the staff is very nice and caring, and trying their best. The projection mapping on the tables is crafted well. This project feels like somebody with a skill for animation and a passion for cooking, but that needs a professional eye for restaurant management as a support.

The fariy tale story itself is probably best suited for kids based on its narrative style, which is why it was a bit surprising to find 2 instances of mild swearing in French, something that won't bother international audiences but left me confused as to whether this was intended as a children or adult experience.

The decor, costumes and narrator all have a lot of room for improvement, landing consistently in the uncanny valley where the fourth wall keeps getting broken, just not on purpose. Wishes that are captured but strangely not connected to the experience (what are you going to do with them?) music that's too quiet, including while serving, all leaving a very awkward feeling in the room for all 2 hours, shared among the guests. Sitting 2 people on the edge of a table for 6, asking people to close their eyes for a while with no change after doing so... many, many small details that constantly keep you from immersing yourself in the story, like watching a movie where people keep entering the theater.

I encourage the owners who seem to have their heart in the right place, but please, do some serious audit and improvement to the experience, invest in training your very kind, but still under qualified, staff in the kitchen and in the serving room. Invest in your place, the decor, the quality of the ingredients, the delivery. Test the narratives before releasing them. Or reduce the prices drastically, if you want to keep them in line with the experience delivered. Hoping to come back later and witness serious improvements to the quality of the experience. Sorry for the tough love but I think it's very fair. Good luck and...

I generally do not write reviews but I had to highlight this, as I do not want others to feel and undergo the same what I felt! If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the most unsettling dining experience I have ever had, and it wasn’t just because of the food—it was because of the shockingly terrible management.

We paid to reserve seats for two at what was supposed to be a fine dining experience with a set 5-course menu. By the second course, the food was so unpalatable that it completely killed my appetite. I asked the waitress to stop serving me any further dishes. Not to miss a hair on the plate that i asked to change and the smelly fish that was served.

When the bill came, I was appalled to see that I was charged the full amount for two even though I had stopped eating after the second course. I politely asked if they could adjust the bill, as I did not consume most of the meal. The waitress refused, so I requested to speak with the manager on duty.

Enter the Manager who is hands down the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in any service setting. Instead of listening to me, that female immediately started accusing me of trying to avoid paying and creating a scene. She dismissed my concerns outright and escalated things to the point of threatening to call the police if I didn’t pay. Her tone and demeanor made it clear she had already judged me before hearing my side, which added an uncomfortable layer to an already humiliating experience.

I have lived in Dubai for 10 years and this place has offered best of experiences and I have always been treated respectfully and have left fanciest places with a delightful feeling! But this time.. for the kind of money they are charging AED 550 for a 5 course meal) the ambience is pathetic its a small enclosed area with pipes in the cieling visible and nothing exotic. They have no empathy, no respect for their customers, and no sense of hospitality.

I was forced to pay the full amount and I left feeling deeply embarrassed, disrespected and mortified. The manager’s behavior is a disgrace to hospitality.

To my family and friends considering dining here, save yourself the money and the humiliation. The food is bad, but the management is even worse. My sincere advice to friends and family is to never go here when Dubai is full of new experiences with better service...

As a recent patron of Le Petit Chef, I find myself compelled to share the extraordinary experience that unfolded in this culinary haven. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was transported into a world where the boundaries between art and cuisine delightfully blur.

The ambiance of Le Petit Chef sets the stage for what's to come - a harmonious blend of coziness and elegance, perfectly complementing the innovative dining concept. It's not just a meal; it's a multisensory adventure that tantalizes both the palate and the imagination.

What truly sets Le Petit Chef apart is its groundbreaking approach to dining. The integration of cutting-edge 3D projection technology not only tells a story with each dish but also immerses diners in a captivating narrative that dances across the table. It's a visual feast that precedes the actual feast - a concept that is both revolutionary and deeply engaging.

Speaking of the feast, the culinary prowess on display is nothing short of spectacular. Each course, meticulously crafted, is a testament to the chef's commitment to excellence. The flavors are bold yet balanced, with every ingredient shining through in a symphony of taste. The attention to detail in the presentation is equally impressive, making each dish not just a meal, but a work of art.

The service at Le Petit Chef deserves a special mention. The staff, GEDE, was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience.

In conclusion, Le Petit Chef is not just a restaurant; it's an unforgettable journey of culinary discovery and innovation. It's a place where food, technology, and art converge to create an experience that is as delightful as it is unique. I left not only satisfied but inspired and look forward to...

🎬 Dining with Disruption: A 1600 DH Experience That Fell Flat: the tourist trap: Le Petit Chef at Andaz Dubai on Oct. 16th Le petit chef remains petit, When a restaurant promises immersive dining, complete with visual projection effects you expect more than just food. You expect atmosphere, precision, and above all, professionalism. At 1600 dirhams, the bar is high. Unfortunately, this venue didn’t just miss it, it tripped over it. The problem? A constantly shaking projection that disrupted the entire ambiance. It wasn’t subtle. It was distracting, disorienting, and frankly, unacceptable for a concept that relies so heavily on visual storytelling. My family and I flagged the issue early, expecting attentive service and active problem-solving from management. Instead, we were met with passive acknowledgment and no resolution. All while family got seasick… and could not enjoy the mediocre experience. We waited. And waited. All the way until the main course, hoping someone would step in, offer a fix, or at least show concern. Our repeated attempts to engage staff were met with the usual corporate script: “We regret your experience… be assured that we take your feedback seriously…” But let’s be honest, they knew the problem. They simply didn’t care as it concerned only one table Nr. 7. The food? Secondary. The experience? Compromised. The value? Laughable. In a nutshell: for 1600 DH, you deserve more than a shaky screen and shaky service. There are far better venues in Dubai that deliver on their promises and respect your time, your money, and your presence.

I've been wanting to try Le Petit Chef ever since I saw some videos of it a few years ago, and I was excited to see it is now available in Dubai. I booked the experience as a surprise anniversary dinner for my husband, who is a foodie, and we absolutely loved it! I went for the vegetarian menu for myself and the classic one for my husband and the projections were the same for both of us. There are 5 different dishes, each with its own story and setting projected on the table in front of you, and the food was delicious. We usually avoid set menus as we both have different dietary requirements, so I called in advance to check if they could cater to my requests. I was pleasantly surprised that they had no issues in customising the classic menu to make the dishes dairy free for my husband, who is lactose intolerant. They even created a special vegan desert for him, as I asked them if they could replace the fruit platter they initially offered. The service during dinner was quick and personalised. Since there were only a couple of other tables booked, we almost felt as if it was a private dinner, and Gede and Carmen looked out for us as if we were their only guests. Gede also offered to take some pictures of us as he knew it was our anniversary, and after all the 5 courses were served, they surprised us with a celebratory show and cupcake. All in all, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a memorable dinner experience and a great way to celebrate a special occasion.
