Markette — Restaurant in Dubai

Food is average, kale salad was hard and too sour , salmon was fine as well as the Paila , prawns were reasonably tasty , Humus was nice ,service staff were nice , all was delivered on the table without too much delay. Nice to try if you are looking for a reasonable varieties / selection of international food . I don’t mind going there again to try something different.

Markette restaurant, located right next to the main entrance of Dubai Mall and opposite the aquarium, offers a lovely setup and an extremely friendly staff. The moment I entered, I felt welcomed and at ease. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. The dishes were absolutely delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the presentation was appealing. The chefs at Markette definitely know how to satisfy your taste buds.

However, one aspect that did leave a slightly bitter taste in my mouth was the menu pricing. I found the prices to be quite high, and it took me by surprise when I received the bill. I paid around $100 for a lunch for two and a half people, which seemed a bit excessive considering the portion sizes and overall experience. With such a bill, I would have expected a higher level of culinary excellence, akin to what you would find at a five-star restaurant.

Despite the pricing concern, I would still rate Markette an 8 out of 10. The delectable food and the friendly staff make it a worthwhile dining destination. Just be prepared for the hefty bill and adjust your expectations...

My visit to Markette was an absolute highlight! From start to finish, I was treated to excellent service and delicious food. I especially want to highlight the Butter Chicken I ordered – it was simply divine! The dish was perfectly spiced, the sauce creamy, and the chicken tender – a true delight for the taste buds.

A huge thank you to Lasitha, our waiter. He was not only extremely friendly and attentive but also contributed to making the evening so special with his professional and warm demeanor. He gave us great recommendations and was always there when needed, without being intrusive. A true professional!

To finish, I had an espresso, which was the perfect end to the evening. It was intense, aromatic, and simply excellent – just the way I like it.

All in all, I highly recommend Markette. If you're looking for a restaurant with outstanding food, a great atmosphere, and service that leaves nothing to be desired, this is the place to be. I will definitely be back and can't wait for my next visit!
