MADO Restaurant and Cafe LLC — Restaurant in Dubai

I had one of the worst dining experiences ever today at MADO in Dubai Mall, and I strongly feel the need to warn others.

I ordered a Kunafa Cheesecake and an Americano coffee from an employee named Serkan. The cheesecake was absolutely terrible — it was old, not fresh at all, not creamy, and literally fell apart on the plate. It was honestly the worst dessert I’ve ever tasted.

When I told Serkan about it, he dismissed my complaint by saying, “We’re busy and sell a lot of this every day.” As if that justifies serving poor-quality food. I calmly explained that the dessert was inedible. He said he would check and come back to me.

He never did.

Instead, he walked around the restaurant for 20 minutes, made eye contact with me several times, and completely ignored me. After 10 more minutes, someone else brought the bill — and that’s where the second problem started.

The bill listed a San Sebastian Cheesecake, which I did not order. I told them I had the Kunafa Cheesecake. He replied, “Same price, it doesn’t matter.” But I had already checked the menu and the prices were not the same. I was being charged more than I should have been.

When I pointed that out, he went to Serkan (the same person who ignored me earlier) to “check.” They had a discussion while I waited, and once again — nobody came back with a solution. No apology, no explanation, no refund.

In the end, I was forced to pay AED 71 for a dessert that was both disgusting and incorrectly billed. I verified this on my bank transaction (€17.09).

This place has zero respect for customer service. They take no responsibility for what they serve, and they scam you at the register. Worst of all, they just look at you and pretend you’re not even there when you complain.

Avoid MADO at Dubai Mall. There are many great places in Dubai — this is not one of them. Save your money and...

I had an exceptional experience at the MADO branch in Dubai Mall—a true culinary gem blending authentic Turkish flavors with warm hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, the food was vibrant and beautifully presented, and every bite transported me straight to Istanbul.

What truly elevated the experience, however, was the incredible service by Yusuf (Syrian dude) and Serkan (Turkish brother). Both gentlemen went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Yousef was attentive, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on, especially the Kafka Platter, which was a hearty and flavorful feast. Serkan brought such positive energy to the table, always smiling and making sure we felt completely at home. Their teamwork and dedication to service are commendable—they genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for their guests.

The desserts and dondurma (ice cream) are not to be missed, especially the unique flavors served in their gorgeous cones. And the ambiance? Bright, clean, and buzzing with life, right in the heart of Dubai Mall.

5point Review Fine Turkish Dining. Dubai Mall, hundreds of dining options and we choose Mado .. so did it live up? Lets check. 👍: Located in the Souq section it has good wibes. Outdoor (which is outside the restaurant but inside the mall) seating option is cute. Now coming to the food. The menu is too large and you are spoilt for options. We ordered Kuzu Inic (lamb shank) Iskander Kebab, Beyti kebab and Beef Sote. The food was top notch and the serving was generous. Iskander and Beyti kebab were delicious. I really loved the gravies. Full points for the serving presentation as well. Beef Sote takes the honors for best presented dish Thumbs down : Nothing Wow factor : Food served was exactly as it was shown in the menu. Beautifully plated and presented and very delicious. Staff was super friendly. A big kudos for that. Money Matters : It is on entertainer so you can Buy one and get one free.
