We were a group of five and went for Sunday brunch. We ordered a couple of mezze platters, pide, Yamurta, grape leaf rolls, two Turkish coffees, a cappuccino, plus an Americano to go. The food was good, especially the cheese used in the pide. The quality of the lamb and the pine nuts in the hummus also stood out.
However, I’m giving a rating of 3 due to a disappointing experience afterward. We forgot to pick up the Americano we had ordered as takeaway. Realizing this while shopping at Carrefour opposite the eatery, we returned within 10 minutes. The staff informed us that they had waited for 10–15 minutes but eventually discarded the drink. That was understandable, and I admitted my mistake while requesting if they could prepare another one for me.
A trainee began making the Americano, but another staff member intervened, stating we would need to pay for it. Despite my explanation, they insisted it was against their policy and mentioned that the management monitors via cameras. I felt this was poor customer service, considering it had only been a short time since we left, and the situation could have been explained to the management. To make things worse, the trainee had already prepared the coffee—so would they discard it again or keep it for themselves?
It left me feeling disappointed, as I expected a little more understanding and flexibility in customer service for such a minor issue. That too, when we already had our food n drinks from the same place and paid a pretty good amount as bill...
Read moreLoved the kofte meatballs, very juicy! Felt that the bulgur rice was missing some flavour though. Nice staff and the food came out in a quick reasonable time, hot and fresh. Lovely garlic sauce but it’s only available on request. Shocked to see 7aed charge for a small glass turkish tea though! Turkish hospitality the tea should be complimentary, it’s just hot water and tea leaf in a small tulip glass nothing so unique. Having lived in Turkey before, I’m sure the locals would be shocked to see this. No parking available even though it’s located in MENA hotel. Their washroom is located on 7th floor, whilst restaurant is on Ground floor. Decent sized restaurant with high glass front windows which is good for a relaxed casual meal and people watching. All in all, good...
Read moreWe wanted to give this place a try as it was on our favourite Turkish restaurant Harput in Barsha. The ambiance and decor was attractive. Unfortunately the food is barely decent. We ordered rocket salad which came with few leaves and almost expired pomegranate pieces (they were transparent). The lahmacun was thick and tastless and did not come with condiments. we had to ask for some parsley and lemon but they didnt gave any parsley or onions. The lentil soup was also decent yet their manti was below expectations with being too much doughy but better than lahmacun. The chicken shish was also okay. Oir daughter ordered simit bagel and she liked it. We wont be coming back and hope they improve the quality of the food to better represent the...
