Academy Park — Attraction in Dubai

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I had on Sunday, February 15, when I visited Ripe Market at Police Academy Park.

Upon arrival, I took a Hala taxi that dropped us right next to the entrance of the market. After spending approximately four hours there, I called for a taxi to take us home. However, when the taxi arrived, the police at the entrance of the Academy Park did not allow it to enter, despite the booking.

This situation was particularly challenging as I was with my two-year-old baby and had to carry her a half-kilometer back to the control point, all while she slept in my arms. The path between the market and the control point is not pedestrian-friendly, which made the experience even more frustrating.

I understand the need for regulations regarding vehicle access, but it is confusing and disappointing that the rules seemed to have changed without notice. Earlier that day, taxis were allowed to enter, but when it was time for my scheduled pickup, the police stated that "rules changed." This inconsistency spoiled what should have been an enjoyable day.
