We visited Meshico for their legendary brunch and enjoyed unlimited margaritas and Mexican food for 3 hours (from 2pm – 5pm).
We was greeted by a saxophonist who was playing over the latest house music from the minute we arrived. The vibe was great and we had a good feeling from the very beginning. The venue was decorated beautifully – it felt like we had left Dubai and been transported to Mexico with sombreros and day of the dead masks floating around everywhere!
The margaritas came first and, from memory, I think they had seven different flavours in total (passionfruit, strawberry, mango, lemon etc) they were delicious and very strong – they certainly didn’t scrimp on the alcohol (and they drinks weren't watered down like some other brunch venues in Dubai!) Next up was the tortilla pre-starter with dip which certainly helped the alcohol go down easier.
Next up were the starters which were absolutely delicious – they literally melted cheese in front of us over a hot and provided us with dipping breads / wraps to scoff your face with after it's an amazing experience (and definitely instagrammable). Then there were tacos of every kind, vege, chicken, beef & fish which were mouth-watering and what's better is, this wasn't even the main course!! You can then pick a choice of main course from their menu – I chose the beef short rib which was TO DIE FOR! Probably the best I have eaten in Dubai, overall VERY impressed with the quality of the food, especially considering it is a brunch menu!
The staff were super efficient – I think at one point, I had around 3 margaritas on my table and the food was flowing non-stop. A special shout-out to Prakash & Abudy who made our whole experience very enjoyable and we're literally on it every time we had a request.
Finally, to end off this amazing experience there was singing, dancing and of course… CHURROS!! The music was quite loud so the perfect experience/brunch to enjoy with friends. I wouldn't advise taking small children to the brunch as it can get quite lively so definitely go if you're up for enjoying yourself and having a good time!
One of the better brunches in Dubai for sure!

Read moreABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE & UNPROFESSIONAL! They took our dinner reservation on Saturday, December 24th for 5:30pm. Upon arrival at the restaurant the waiter walked us though the restaurant - where we saw the entire staff inebriated and rowdy - , he sat us down outside and then told us although you’re here and you had a reservation we’re in the middle of a staff party so you’ll have to wait till 7pm to order food.
We were literally in shock and said I’m sorry why did you take our reservation and have us come in with our 2 kids who are both under 6 years old and need to have dinner, if you were booked for a staff party and couldn’t serve customers??
He literally started laughing as if he thought this was very funny to do with customers and said ok I don’t know let me ask the manager.
The manager at no point bothered to come out and speak to us. No one NOT ONCE apologized for this bizarre, unprofessional behaviour. The waiter then returned - with a huge grin on his face, all his teeth showing - and while laughing mockingly told us “the manager said yeah you had a reservation but you’ll have to wait till 7pm to get served”!! He then walked away laughing while we were still speaking to him!!
We were literally speechless. We have lived and eaten at restaurants around the world and never experienced such unprofessional, ridiculous and rude behaviour!
If you’re having a staff party then why take reservations?? Why not tell the customer I’m sorry you’re welcome to come but we’re not able to serve food till 7pm.
And then to offer zero apology, to laugh at our faces while we stand there with our 5 and 3 and half year old hungry children is just disgusting behaviour.
Not only are you incompetent as a restaurant but just awful awful humans.
I would not eat at this restaurant if they paid me.
Beyond unprofessional, drunken, ill mannered staff. The restaurant owner...

We were a part 10 (inc. 2 children) and arrived around 9pm. The maitre d / manager welcomed us and asked us to wait so that their team could arrange the table. They arranged it quickly which looked like a positive sign...
The staff in its entirety was Mexican which was something completely different in Dubai. I've lived here for over 30 years and rarely seen a place so authentic. They took our orders quickly and even explained the menu.
The two orders for the children came on time and we were enthusiastic that the rest would arrive shortly. Unfortunately, things tanked from here on.
Starters (not the complimentary tacos) arrive 40 minutes later and dinner close to an hour later. The reasoning was they were short staffed in the kitchen. Not a good excuse given it is the weekend and competition in Dubai is fierce.
The starters and dinner itself were authentic and delicious. Some were excellent and some average but to each is to own I guess.
On a plus note the Mexican Mariachi band complete with trumpet players were out of this world.
The low rating for this review is purely down to the lengthy wait for food. We had family accompany us from out of town and it was embarrassing.
@ Meshico Management: Please work on the service in the kitchen. Your restaurant is a beautiful place especially due to the authenticity from A (staff) to Z (menu and...
