We have visited this hotel 3-4 times. The hotel ambience is good but you don't get a feel of privacy. It's in a mall hence quite a noisy place to have good in. Food: I ordered for an Oothapam yesterday. I was shocked to see it was almost an inch thick. Still tried eating it to avoid wasting but i had to eventually give it back. People on either sides of my table, both complained about the food yesterday. One told salt was high in something and returned it, other person got a wrong order delivered (ordered sambar rice but got dhal kichidi)
Service: Usually ok, but on a crowded day it took over 10 mins for someone to attend to us and take order / provide water. One family waited for over 5 mins to get the table cleaned and left in frustration without eating.
The hotel has a good name. Some items that I have eaten are good, not everything is bad. But these bad incidents might pull the curtains down permanently if the mgmt doesn't take steps to address these feedback. I wish to come back here to eat good South Indian food. Hope you guys can make it...
Read moreA recent vegetarian restaurant choice in the very famous busy Mall. The place looks sparkling clean and bright. Very attentive staff and a bit of a slow service as the food is cooked on order.
I had breakfast at this restaurant on a Sunday morning and was absolutely delighted. Since the food is cooked to order, one needs to give a couple of minutes before digging into what is served on the plate, otherwise it would look under-cooked.
The tables were laid out very nicely and the seating is very comfortable. The arrangement can be quickly organized for a large group too. The road side presents a great view towards the main road.
The food was fresh and hot. The condiments and accompaniments are super tasty, probably a bit salty to my palette but no complaints.
The location is fantastic as it is near a big supermarket and most importantly close to the Metro station. A quick breakfast before you head to your day's work.
There is no disabled access from the road side.
Overall a very pleasant experience, tasty food and...
Read moreI recently visited Nalan Restaurant at Burjuman, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. To start with, the food was uncooked and far from the quality one would expect from a restaurant of its reputation. It felt like no effort was made to ensure the dishes were properly prepared, which completely ruined the meal.
The staff added to the unpleasant experience. The attitude of the serving staff was appalling — they were rude, inattentive, and seemed completely disinterested in providing any level of customer service. To make matters worse, the individual collecting the used crockery was so unprofessional that he was loudly banging the dishes as he cleared the table, making the atmosphere even more uncomfortable.
This lack of professionalism and attention to detail is unacceptable for any dining establishment. I wouldn’t recommend Nalan Restaurant to anyone looking for good food or a pleasant dining experience. There are far better options in Burjuman that value their customers and deliver...
