As someone who eats at Nara daily when in Thailand, I was very excited to try the Dubai branch — and I have to say, the food quality and flavors are truly impressive! Everything we ordered tasted authentic and delicious, just like the original.
The service was excellent — friendly, fast, and attentive.
However, the menu is quite limited compared to the Thailand branch. I really hope they bring some of the signature snacks and desserts over — especially the Coconut Rice Pancake, which is a must-have and one of my favorites in Thailand. Also, fresh juices like coconut smoothie and watermelon smoothie would be a great addition and are currently missing.
The only downside is the interior. The Dubai branch lacks the elegance and premium vibe of the original Nara. Tables and seating are small and cramped — not ideal if you're ordering several dishes.
Some reviews mention high prices and small portions, but I completely disagree. I just got back from Thailand and can say the quality and portions in Dubai are consistent with the original.

Read moreI recently dined at Nara Thai, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The ambiance is elegant and cozy, with beautiful. The food was the highlight, of course. Every dish was full of bold, authentic Thai flavors. The Tom Yum soup had the perfect balance of spice and sourness, and the Pad Thai was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were generous, and everything came out fresh and beautifully presented.
The service was also worth mentioning — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They happily adjusted the spice levels based on our preferences, which was a big plus.
Prices are reasonable for the quality and setting, especially considering it’s located in a prime area.

Read moreThe food was good, but the service definitely needs improvement. The staff weren’t rude, but they were very inattentive and didn’t seem to follow basic dining etiquette. We had to ask several times just to get a bottle of water, and even more times to have the table cleared after we finished eating. What made it more frustrating was that the server would take only one or two plates at a time, then walk off — we had to keep calling him back just to get the rest cleared. We even asked another waiter to help, and although she said “okay,” no one came back to do it. So the plates remained on the table until after we left.
It felt like there was no real understanding of how proper table service should work, and that lack of attentiveness really took away from...
