This review is written by my 13 YO daughter ... I couldn't have said it better .
My family and I recently had the opportunity to visit Asian 5, and to say the least, we were very impressed! Asian 5 specializes in various Asian cuisines so we were looking forward to what they had to offer. I decided to start off with some hibiscus ice tea, and this was some of the best I had ever had. The taste was quite unique, and it had both the refreshing and sweet aroma of hibiscus flowers. The temperature was the perfect coolant for the intense heat we experience in Dubai. For the main course, I had the laksa which is a noodle soup with a coconut-based broth; it was some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. We also had spicy glass noodles, which were deliciously aromatic and tasted like paradise. The noodles were very bouncy and chewy, which elevated the dish to new heights. The veg dim sum basket was another highlight, as I was not expecting the veggie dip to taste as good as it did paired with the soft dim sum. In addition, we ordered some rice paper rolls, which were light and refreshing, and made a perfect pairing with the sweet peanut sauce. The sweet potato fries were also some of the best I have ever had, with both a sweet and spicy sauce on top, they were very flavorful. For dessert, I decided to try avocado ice cream for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised at how creamy and smooth it was, which makes it delicious. The fact that it is made in shop makes the taste so much fresher, as there are no preservatives. All in all, I can say for certain that Asian 5 is now my favorite restaurant as they have a very versatile menu with fresh ingredients, and I am super excited to try it again! If you're around Dubai, Asian 5 is...
Read moreWe love pan asian but often end up in either strictly authentic chinese places or those pretending to be so. While we dont mind both ends of the spectrum and the hits/misses now and then since we love food (and critiquing it as well !), hearing about a place that claimed to actually breathe the concept - yes PAN Asian - 5 different cusines under 1 roof, got us excited for sure.
The setting is in the One Central Business District in the heart of the Trade Center area on what is dubbed by locals as Dubai's Mayfair. By that, I mean Emiratis kitted out in their finest looking for places to spend their evening hours, with their fancy cars lined up on both sides of the street.
You would not imagine that a place like Asian 5 would be nestled in the middle of a busy district, ready to serve a soulful dinner for a whole family or whip up a quick one at lunchtime for a busy officegoer. And all this, at a price point that does not break the bank.
If it sounds too good to be true, then try it yourself.
Sitting in their outdoor seating area one fine evening, we tried and loved -
Thai - Gway Tiew Tom Yum - standout dish!
Singaporean - Char kway teow
Vietnamese - rice paper rolls - chicken/prawn
Indonesian - beef rendang (special !) and nasi goreng
Saving for next time - the new japanese menu
Also, hibiscus and lemon grass iced teas are must-haves with the meal to then be rounded off with coconut ice cream for dessert.
Unlike timeout dubai, this author paid for his food but did not review...

The menu is impressively diverse, offering dishes from across Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, China and Vietnam.
The Hibiscus Lemongrass Iced Tea was a refreshing standout! Beautifully vibrant in color, it had a perfect balance of tartness from the hibiscus and a light, citrusy freshness from the lemongrass. It wasn't overly sweet, which made it incredibly thirst-quenching and natural tasting.
The Vietnamese rolls (gỏi cuốn) were cool, crunchy fillings inside a soft, chewy wrap were served with a savory peanut sauce.
For the main course, the Thai green curry was a standout — rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being overwhelmingly spicy. The sushi platter was another highlight: fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious.
The Nasi Goreng was absolutely delicious. The rice was perfectly fried, not too oily, with just the right amount of smokiness. What really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients, the chicken was juicy and tender, and the vegetables had a nice crunch.
Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality of ingredients and generous portion sizes. Whether you're craving hearty noodles, delicate sushi, or bold curries, Asian5 has something...
