First time visiting the area, and I was actually going to another restaurant with the family, but the restaurant closes a bit early, my eyes spotted this beautiful restaurant from far away and I said why not give it a try with the family specially since it’s in a very beautiful area it would be a great experience, here’s how my experience at tahini went. Firstly, we sat outside. The view was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful, we were greeted by the owner. I believe he was such a nice guy. He had good vibes and everything, after we seated, we waited around 5 to 10 minutes to get our order taken, after we took our order we waited for approximately 20 minutes to get our hummus Then we got our meals. We finished the meals and everything was nice about the food. The main meals were decent. They weren’t bad. They weren’t excellent. They were decent. Nothing that will amaze anyone in general, the hummus and bread were lovely. Specially the bread was fresh. You can tell by how hot it is from How they make it, the steak and fries was nice. The fries were perfect. The steak was a bit bland but tender at the same time, the skewers, especially the beef skewers were super tender and lovely, but lack a bit of flavor, but that was alright , the servers were amazing, but I believe that the restaurant lacked a bit of employees or servers in general because we waited a long time between each meal, I believe it’s a new area so this is a new restaurant so everything is getting sorted out still in general good experience not bad not amazing if you’re around the area I give it a try. Also we got a complimentary desserts for the time we waited for our food which was a really...
Read moreOur experience at Tahini, known for its Mediterranean and Lebanese cuisine, unfortunately left much to be desired. We started with high hopes, but were ultimately disappointed by several dishes.
Firstly, the Mona's Way Beef Steak and fries were overwhelmingly salty. It felt like we were eating a solid block of salt rather than a properly seasoned dish. The excessive saltiness was so off-putting that we couldn't finish it. It's disappointing when a dish masks the natural flavors of the meat with such overpowering seasoning.Next, the Charcoal Grill Half Baby Chicken also missed the mark. While the exterior had a nice char from the grill, the meat inside lacked flavor and didn't seem properly cooked. It left us wishing for more depth and taste in every bite.
The saving grace of our meal was the fries, which were decent and tasted like standard fries you'd find elsewhere.
Regrettably, even after leaving the restaurant, the strong taste of salt from the steak lingered unpleasantly. This experience was particularly concerning for anyone with hypertension or high blood pressure, as the excessive salt content could easily trigger health issues.
In conclusion, based on our disappointing experience with the overly salty steak and underwhelming chicken dish, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially for those concerned about their blood pressure. It's unfortunate because we had hoped for an authentic and enjoyable Mediterranean dining experience, but left feeling...
Read moreIn short, you have to try this little gem by Chef Riad Bou Lteif! His spins on traditional dishes are creative, always tasteful and subtle. The flavors really bloom thanks to the quality of the ingredients and the cooking, instead of through abundant quantities of salt. Service is very friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is cozy.
We had the keshek man’oushe which was a absolute delight! Tangy with great depth of flavor and texture thanks to the spices and nuts.
The freekeh salad was very fresh and the smoked flavor of the wheat itself really came through. The cheese canons were also on point.
The makanek à l’orange took us completely by surprise. A perfectly seasoned sausage, and delectable citrus gastrique, and candied orange peel for a sweet finish. A must try.
The anatoli kebab was hands down the best Turkish-style kebab I’ve ever had. It was juicy and flavorful, and the texture of the meat was perfect even though it’s a fatty lamb mince. The spices were balanced and the dish tasted almost decandent. As I said though, it is quite fatty so I would recommend sharing this dish.
Will definitely be coming back for more. A big thank you to Wissam and the rest...
