Monkey Bar Dubai — Restaurant in Dubai

I actually love Monkey bar and am there almost every week for their Just Friends event. The last time I went was absolutely a horrendous experience.

When we arrived it was fairly early, the indoor bar was completely empty, the the bartenders were moving around like they were completely busy ignoring us. We were patient and just stood there for a good 5 mins before one of my friends got frustrated and asked the bartender for 2 monkey beers Mexican style, he does not even acknowledge her, so I went to the bartender next to him and asked for the same thing. A few mins later they show up with 4 beers, 2 regular and 2 Mexican style, and I told the bartender we only ordered 2 and they were wrong anyway, absolutely to my surprise this man starts yelling that it's our fault for ordering from both of them and that he will be charging us for the drinks cause we need to pay for our mistake and order only from 1. they actually made us pay for 4 drinks even though 2 of them were wrong anyway and neither of them even acknowledged that they received our order.

I walked away extremely upset send it really spoiled our evening. I work in the hospitality industry myself and seeing such rude and insufferable bartenders (seen MANY reviews about this) and seems like management isn't doing anything to change that? VERY disappointing.

I recently attended the Great Gatsby event at Monkey Bar in DWTC, and the vibes and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. However, our experience had some ups and downs.

On the downside, we encountered some rude attitude from the staff, and our drinks seemed to mysteriously disappear when they were only half full (or half empty, from their perspective). When we questioned this, a guy in a black dress at the far end of the bar responded with a less than pleasant attitude and mocked us with a "is it done now" remark.

After ordering another drink, one of our glasses vanished when we did not keep an eye on the drink. When we inquired about it, Freddie responded with a not-so-brilliant answer that did we see them taking away the glass. I suppose F. Scott Fitzgerald himself might have taken it and made it disappear.

Frustrated with the situation, we decided to move to another bar at the middle. We brought up our concerns with Suman at the bar counter, and to our relief, he was incredibly friendly and offered his apologies on behalf of Freddie and the other staff member.
