Pepe's Piri Piri - City Walk — Restaurant in Dubai

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pepe's and I have to say, I was absolutely blown away! The food was so fresh, flavorful, and light that I left feeling satisfied but not heavy—exactly what you want from a great meal.

Their healthy peri-peri chicken was perfectly cooked, and the marinade was on point. The chicken wings, especially the mango lemon flavor, were an absolute delight—tender, juicy, and so soft that the meat practically melted in my mouth. I was amazed to find that even the bones of the chicken wings were marinated!

The peri-peri French fries were equally incredible, paired with their signature garlic dip, which was the perfect balance of creamy and garlicky goodness. Every bite was an explosion of flavor, and it’s clear that so much care goes into preparing the food, with the chicken marinated for hours to achieve that perfect tenderness.

One of their first customers from their first branch in Motor City, been coming here for years and it used to be my favourite place. I visited the city walk branch for the first time and it was not a great experience. Food was okay, hot flavour is good but lemon and herb was not good at all. The spicy fries were barely seasoned and when asked for more draining they gave such micrograms of seasoning it's very different to the service in the motor city branch.

What made things worse is when sitting outside they allow dogs to be seated on the same seats that are used by customers so you don't know if your seat was used by a dog. Also, I saw a server touch a customers dog and then go directly to serving food without washing their hands afterwards which gave me a bad feeling about hygiene.

Also they don't allow you to customise more than one flavour for you wings no matter how many you order which is the first time i've come across this. Even if you order 20 wings you can't choose more than 1 flavour
