Tucán Rosemount — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Used to love going to eat out at Tucan, looking back it has changed a lot firstly the portions especially the empanadas, they used to be a decent size with lots of filling but recently they have shrunk and there is about a tablespoon of filling another thing is there is sometimes more dough than filling and cold on the inside. I had also ordered a loaded hot dog and received it in an hotdog bun that was impossible to eat as it was more on the rock hard side . The atmosphere of the place is nice, staff are lovely but it is very obvious that some don’t get treated very well. Lastly even though the restaurant has a lift it isn’t a very wheelchair accessible place as the lift doesn’t work or even for parents that have prams and may find it difficult trying to get it...

After developing a love for Mexican food whilst living in Texas and living off it almost exclusively, I have never since managed to get my fix in the UK in the same way.

Went out for dinner at Tucan with some friends who live nearby and recommended it and couldn't have been more impressed - authentical south american food from various contries and the quality up there with anything I've ever eaten, couldn't recommend it enough. It's a really nice cosy restaurant and the service was great too.

We came here for one of their Friday evening tasting menus for a special celebration. What a feast! I can't quite remember ever having so much food, and each table-full (!) of dishes was delicious. The staff all seem to share various roles and they are all friendly and clearly (and rightly) proud of the amazing food from Venezuela, Colombia, and Chile (and further afield) that they cook. Tucán is well worth a visit: the food is brilliant and the prices are more than reasonable. The wine selection isn't very exciting, but their cocktails are delicious, so I'd suggest ordering a passion fruit cocktail if it's available...
