We came here for our anniversary on the 19th Feb, first time we have been here and we were not disappointed. Everything about the evening was a fantastic experience, lovely table by the window with plenty of space, service was excellent, our waiters, Jamie and Mark were both perfectly attentive but not too much, very friendly and professional.
The food was superb, we had lots of dishes so we could try a bit of everything. The Chorizo al Vino and Empanadas were a great way to start, followed by the steak sampler, green beans, portobello mushrooms, Humita, and thick cut chips (hot, crispy and fluffy, perfect!). The steaks were the best we have had, excellent cuts of beef, well cooked, perfectly seasoned, melt in your mouth tender, nothing left on the plate when we had finished! All the food was hot, well seasoned and good portion sizes. We had the Flan Casero and Churros for dessert as well as a sharing anniversary "pre-dessert" (thank you!). Espressos to finish and that made this, without doubt, the best meal out we have ever had. Service was well paced but never felt rushed. We also had cocktails and a bottle of wine, both of which were excellent. We will definitely be coming back. Once again, many thanks, certainly our new favourite...
Read moreAs a restaurant it’s good but it doesn’t hit the mark for the price. I ordered the Argentine experience platter at £58. The two steaks come out hot and unseasoned, I’d recommend leaving them to rest for 10mins and season them yourself. The Morcilla was the highlight of the meal, fantastic. Sirloin was beautifully cooked but needed seasoning and time to rest. Humita tasted great but leaves you sucking on sweetcorn shells. The waiter recommended an additional sauce because the two sauces that come with the ‘experience’ don’t complement the meal / experience at all. It would be nice to be offered a choice of two sauces instead. Asked for water and charged for a £5 bottle, ask specifically for tap if you want to avoid this unnecessary cost, it was my mistake. The men’s physical toilet is ridiculously small, it didn’t affect my dining experience but they’ve installed an infant sized toilet, try it yourself and you’ll know what I mean. They have a child’s menu which is great to see, but only 3 menu options for them. Adult drinks menu was also very limited especially compared to Maidstones.
£120 for 2 adult mains, 1 child main, 2 cokes and a house salad, plus extra £ for a tip. Could be better for pricing,...
Read more7.30 booking but sat down 7.45, no cutlery. 8.05 took our drinks order, which we included our main meal due to lateness. People stood waiting all night for seating, door open and closed all night leaving my wife and I cold as sat next to the door. Drinks came out about 8.30 an hour after our booking and was knocked over by the ever rushing waiting staff which left me with a wet shirt without and apology for. My wife wore my jacket over her lap as it was so cold next to the ever opening door. Went to have our replacement drink and I didn’t have a glass, now I’m getting more frustrated as I can’t have the drink that I’ve waited so long for & I’ve now got to try and get the waiters attention who’s still rushing round like a headless chicken. The steak arrived just before 9pm and was ok not great. Tbh at the prices it should be better. This was our valentines meal ruined. I was actually embarrassed for the waiter and myself for taking my wife here for the first time. We won’t be returning any time soon. I hope this review is read by those that manage the restaurant and address the embarrassing way people spent their good money on a special day...
