We were in Bath on a relaxing spa break and wanted to find a perfect restaurant to end the great day. Nepalese food stands out to us particularly due to our desire to visit Nepal one day. If you come in here you’re definitely in for an authentic atmosphere and genuine hospitality.

We wanted the saffron lassi but they had run out. The mango lassi was frothy and very smooth, get one each otherwise you’ll be fighting for the glass.

Vegetarian momos had the taste of buttery leeks. Lovely texture. Fried salmon (malekhu macha) was great value for the portion size. Too much for one person but definitely two pieces per person as a sharer. Both of these starters came with a good amount of side salad and sauce.

For the mains we had the butternut squash curry (pharsi ra kalo channa). Big soft butternut squash chunks amongst a deeply spiced chickpea curry. We were licking the oil off of the plate. Combine this with the Nepalese fried rice (butheko Bhat).

We used the black dahl (maasko dahl) after as a sort of soup after the heavy curry. It was plain but creamy and comforting.

Aloo tamar was a little bit of a hit and miss. We definitely enjoyed eating it but could have potentially picked something else on the menu to replace. The bamboo shoots added a slightly strange taste.

Lastly the carrot puréed dessert with fresh fruit on the side was a great palate cleanser and of course, we loved the pistachios. It was warm, sweet and had a good mixture of textures.

We loved all the decor in the restaurant , the posters and newspaper clippings of mountaineers. It’s no surprise Yak Yeti Yak got mentioned at the top of Everest!!! We will be coming back...

I have never written a restaurant review in my life, regardless of food quality or service, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I was excited to try momos, When I first arrived, the Nepali manager was rude, and asked me to book a table which is understandable so I booked a table and waited over an hour and a half to be seated. Once seated, I ordered just four Momos. I then waited 30 to 35 minutes for this simple order. During that time, I watched as three other tables—all filled with white patrons—were attended to immediately and had multiple courses pour in. They were treated with extreme hospitality, while I, an Indian patron sitting alone, was entirely ignored. I felt judged, isolated, and treated as "less" just because of my skin color. When I finally expressed my feelings to the white manager regarding the excessive wait and blatant difference in service, he was extremely rude, responding, "You don't have to sit here. I will pack your food." I had waited over an hour for a table, and I refused to leave. This experience was truly inferiorizing. It is a sad reality when hospitality is based on color, especially when the disrespect comes from people who share similar cultural roots. A note to any person of color considering visiting: Be ready to challenge the management if you experience the same treatment. Do not stay quiet. This one-star review is necessary to bring this reality to the...

My boyfriend and I found this gem of a place whilst we were visiting Bath and wow the food was out of this world! What sold us was the fact that food was made to order so you know it is made fresh, it's not everyday you get a restaurant that does that! We sat outside under the canopy and it was very relaxing. The waiter was very friendly and professional. We got the pork momos as a starter which we devoured under 2 mins as it was super yummy. We then got yak yeti yak chicken and pork bhutawa for mains with Nepalese fried rice and butternut squash sides to go with it and all the dishes were bursting full of flavours and spices! What I also love is the fact that you can get all dishes mild, medium, hot or very hot. So there's something for everyone in terms of spice level. For dessert we got the spiced yoghurt with marinated oranges and because it was less than usual, they gave us a complimentary rice pudding! Both super delicious and definitely recommend. We also ordered the spiced sweet milk tea which was amazing and a great drink to finish our meal. We will definitely be coming back here when...

Finally we got a chance to visit this amazing Nepalese restaurant in Bath. Every year we visit UK from Sydney, we have tried to go there but wasn’t very lucky. We managed to get a table today (22/07/2022). We ordered different dishes. It was amazing. Never had such an exquisite tasting lamb before. We just loved the Yak Yeti Yak lamb. TBH we haven’t had this delicious Nepalese curries in Australia. The chicken chilly was so yummy and fine, we ordered hot and spicy as we fancied. The serving size was also decent. Could order according to the price guides too, which was good. Thanking the chefs!! The only downside was the steps. As we had a pram- we had to carry the pram downstairs- one of the staffs assisted my husband carrying the pram down. Not an ideal location for someone on a wheelchair and baby prams. Would definitely visit again next time when we are back in Bath. Namaste 🙏
