We had a fantastic time at the Crystal Palace Pub in Bath. The pub has a charming Georgian-style character, giving it a warm and slightly historic feel. Its location is perfect – just a short walk from the Roman Baths and the Abbey, making it a convenient spot to relax after sightseeing. The staff were welcoming and friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. We loved that there were plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, including a separate dining area and a smoking section. The outdoor space was particularly nice for a casual drink. The drinks were great, and the overall vibe made it a perfect place to unwind. Whether you’re looking for a drink, a meal, or simply a place to enjoy Bath’s charm, Crystal Palace is well worth a visit. Highly recommend!

My first culinary experience visiting Bath was this restaurant, and I'm happy to say it was a very positive one. The restaurant itself had a very pleasant, quaint vibe and a charming aesthetic supported by the numerous pictures and decorations along the wall. The seating was comfortable, and it felt more like I was in someone's home rather than a restaurant, at least in the dining section I sat in. I noticed coming in there was a separate section for those who were there primarily for some drinks. My girlfriend had one of their pasta dishes, and I had fish and chips. Both dishes were great - generous helpings and high quality ingredients. Our server was also very pleasant. I'm glad I visited, and I'd recommend anyone in Bath do the same.

It was a busy day since we came on Sunday. The place was packed with people, but we could still find a table. We ordered their Sunday roast beef and pork, fish & chips and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was delicious. Large servings, and surprisingly the Yorkshire pudding was massive! The sticky toffee was also lovely! The right amount of sweetness. However, I would like to advise since I think the staff on that day were like young people or teenagers and could not even smile or greet you or tell you “give me one sec” it’ll make a difference to the customers. Although we just waited 5 minutes to be accommodated. We just looked for our own table. But still a good place to go in terms of food.

liked the garden area however food is average, usual fullers pub menu, £14 for a beef burger which was tiny with a few chips...came with a bland sauce as well. Sadly seems that for a main + drink, for 2 ppl, nowadays pubs seem more expensive than a proper restaurant...this was just a main and drink....£5 for a pint of peroni....wow! unfortunately the service was also very distant, called the waitress 3 times, not even a look..the pub has character, however guys, at those prices I would expect much better service and food quality.....forgot the stains on the table...oh dear!

Good pub food and great service. The smoked salmon and King prawn linguine was tasty, although the sauce was a bit too thin and creamy for me, it was made well. The pie and chips were top class. Desserts did not disappoint although we needed a lot more sauce on the sticky toffee pudding and a lot more custard on the apple Crumble. The staff were friendly and happy to oblige with extra gravy jus as well. Highly recommended and a good solid Fullers pub that achieved the high standards I expect from Fullers.

Only one star for the staff. Zero stars for the woefully overpriced food. The “Sunday roasts” we ordered only consisted of three very thin slithers of meat, half a parsnip, one roast potato (cut in half), one piece of kale, one tablespoon of cauliflower cheese, a trendy smearing of butternut squash and one still frozen at the bottom Yorkshire pudding. Dessert wasn’t any better either. Do not go here if you want a Sunday roast. There are better places in Bath and this isn’t one of them.

Large Georgian pub on a cobbled square, where Nelson once stayed, with a covered rear terrace.
