They have both Kerala and Srilankan flavours available here.. You have to choose according to your taste. We ordered thalasery chicken biriyani for the first time here and should say that was really good among the availabilities here..👍🏻 But I have been here multiple times ordering meals, masala chai, porotta beef combo, kappa meencurry, snacks. Chai was the best but others were just okay only. Specially the snacks were not hot at all.
Also every time its different taste for the food here, one time its the best you can get around, but next time the worst ever it is.. are you really changing chefs or he is learning here??🤷🏻♀️ Also every time we go its different people taking orders from you, and that makes too much difference. Some treats you really good, but some of them never mind!
And One time when I ordered thalasery chicken biriyani again, they gave me some other biriyani, hope it was from the other menu. When I asked them this, they first told me thats what I ordered. I told them I have already had that from here before and this was not it, then they were okay to change it asap. So if its your first time, really sorry🫣But the next time I ordered, they mixed fried rice with some chicken gravy and served me.🤷🏻♀️ Only request to this shop is if you don’t have something available please do say it straight away. Dont try to find an alternate..🙇🏻♀️ Also for the rates we pay we deserve to atleast eat...
Read moreThe place is a decent way to go for a relatively affordable dining option . It is an Indian restaurant without any fanciness, just decent food . Service is not great and often slow but that is not much of a bother honestly . The plain dosas are good enough to remind you of back home . The puttu and kadala curry was really tasty and quite authentic . Their malabar paratha is also quite good . The only trouble is finding the restaurant . The restaurant is attached to the University superstore which is an Indian grocery mainly focusing on south indian / srilankan ingredients . I would recommend going in with a group so that you'd be able to split the bill . On average my friends spent 10 pounds each on our food . Seems like an affordable option once in a while . If anyone is interested they also sell their brand of dosa batter at the University superstore. So that you can pick up that as well at a fairly reasonable price. The Madras filter coffee, although not as good as back home, was really nice . Overall if you are a picky eater or is easily irritated at mediocre service then I would recommend you to...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I visited Amaa Dosa at around 3pm on Sunday. I ordered a Masala Dosa. I asked how long will my order take, he said 10 minutes it took like 15 but that's not a big deal. The problem comes when I receive a Plain Dosa. When I asked the uncle this is not my order. He replied the Masala will take another 30 minutes. I politely asked him that he should've informed me before even processing my order, so I could change my order. He said this is what it is, and there's nothing he can do now as this is the only thing he could offer me at the moment, and made an innocent face. I still ate the Dosa which was sour and Sambhar tasted like it was 2-3 days old. After finishing my food, when I went to pay and give a feedback he was least interested in listening anything I had to say and kept on ignoring me. I read all the reviews before visiting there, but I still decided to check it for myself and I am certain all the previous reviews were right. Save your money! Dont go there! I wish google allowed me to give...
