pre-booked the restaurant for my sons 18th birthday celebration for 25 family members attending.

The waiter came to take all our orders for starters and main meal, which he wrote down. I checked with waiter how long will it take for the mains to come out he said half hour for all the guests. I was surprised and jokingly said are you sure it's not going to be an hour or so as its a large group, he said no only half hour.

The starters came out fine, no problems at all, everyone was fine.

The main meal service was an absolute disaster.. only half of the main food came out for half of the guests. The half of the food which came out didnt come with any naan breads which was ordered, waited another hour for naan breads to come out, which wasnt the correct order anyway but took it as the mains were already cold by that time.

The other half of the guests who had ordered, only there naan breads came out without the main meals then had to wait for another hour or so for the main meals to come out by that time the naan bread were already cold, also had to cancel 1 of the main order as it took over an 1.5hours and also one of the main dishes had undercooked meat.

I spoke the manager about the poor service all she did was blame the waiter who took the order,, apparantly the waiter got his coat and left midway of our meal and left them in the lurch. No one came out to speak to us about the whole shambles of the service and no one came out to check what was going on. we was just left to it.

Very diappointing and very poor service from management is an underating comment!!

Always check the bill at the end as it had some orders on there which was incorrect and charging us for extra order which we did not get.

Avoid this place for large celebrations as they cannot cope with...

Please, if you are searching for a venue to hire for some sort of event, DO NOT CHOOSE DILBAR. i have never been served food here so will not comment on the resturant itself. However I had been scammed when I booked to hire out the upstairs space for my 18th birthday back in October 2021. I will happily call out Pam’s name as someone who was responsible for ruining my 18th birthday by not delivering what I paid for. She promised me I could play my own music through their speakers for the set hours I paid for. Instead she continued having her resturant music on throughout the whole night as she still was serving customers downstairs. She would tell me every time “just 10 more minutes” then would play my music temporarily and then back to her Indian music, when the music was never agreed to be shared during the hours I paid for the service. Eventually all my guests who were celebrating with me had left the resturant from boredom and granted they did as they wanted to dance and party to my music playlist, not Indian music, and so did I! I had a guest list who I told Pam not to let anyone in who is not on the list. One person was let in who was not on the list, and a fight broke out as a result. As I was in the bathroom the entire time, I never saw them come in myself however I know from friends that they did. Pam insisted that they never let them in and it is my fault this happened. She even checked cctv and when I went back to claim some compensation, she said she checked and he was never let in, I asked to see the footage and she hesitated and insisted it is a very lengthy footage that seemed to be too much hassle for her to show me. Seemed very suss🤔. She also made us all leave at 1am when I booked till 3am. Long story short, don’t make the same...

Very bad service

We organised our daughter birthday party over the weekend and this restaurant turned out to be nightmare..

Countless mistakes Very unprofessional to serve Food - We support to have starter at 6.30pm but came at 9.15 pm , that too no sauce, cold starter , vegetarian guest were served with non-veg items.

Tables were shaky, when we asked the management , they said we will change it but never happened till the end and our guest just waked away.

Air conditioning was not working ... they dint have even table fans.

Part of the deal , we were suppose to have DJ but their speaker were out of order , till the end they couldn't fix it and all our guest just went without any music or dance.

Main meal came at 10.30pm that too very bad teste , seems like was prepared at lease 4-5 days in advance, none of our guest enjoyed the meal.

Management have no experience of managing events or customer service.

Shortage of staff - very unexperienced..

All our guests gave very bad review and said will never come back again to ask our friends and families to avoid using Dilbar restaurant at...
