What a shocking experience! After discovering that I had a 23 minute wait for my train departure. On my travels to the platform, I stumbled across a five guys. I thought “hmmmmm a milkshake would go down a treat right about now” and yes I will admit, I have quite the sweet tooth! I ordered myself an Oreo cookies whipped cream milkshake. After a very long, unnecessary wait, finally my number was called. Thrilled with joy, but furious with the long wait! I skipped over to the till to collect my shake. Looking down at my watch with complete fear, I saw that I had only 3 minutes to make my train. My heart sunk! So many thoughts running through my head. “What if I miss my train!? The next train doesn’t leave until early hours in the morning” I put the burners on and found myself sprinting, enthusiasticly praying I’ll get there in time. Anyway, sweat dripping off my face, struggling to catch my breath, I jumped on the train at the very last minute! All I could think about was my nice, thick, creamy milkshake. As my mouth drulled, I finally took my first sip. “Delicious” I yelled, at the top of my lungs. But after approximately 3 sips my (paper) straw was as wet and soggy as Harvey prices chin. My first thought was, why? Why use a paper straw!? £5.75 for my straw to fold in half like a cheap deck chair from the range! Pathetic! Five guys, sort it out. Give us plastic straws! Read moreBeing our first visit to five guys we was excited to see what it was all about. We ordered via the app whilst sat in the restaurant and went to the till after we placed our order to find out what we do next.
The staff was rude and had an attitude as if to say 'we should know already where to go' at the main till but she directed us to the collection point. This is where firstly we was blanked at the collection point for about 5 mins. Then a member of staff come over and ask our name and says yeah they have the order and we go sit down and wait..
20 mins later we go up to find out what's taking so long to then be told ( again rudely) that we are at the wrong five guys.
Surely they would known this when we first went up if they had actually took the time & respect to check our order properly. But then like I say it was if we was an inconvenience to them.
We made our way to the bull ring one and by far alot better service, attitude & nicer environment...
Read moreI Ordered a grilled cheese, add bacon, extra bacon, with grilled onion and shrooms and a tomato. At the till the staff member did not know how to input extra bacon but assured me the request would be accommodated. When I saw the sandwich being assembled, I noticed that only 2 bits of bacon were used so I asked for some more. The line supervisor, a black shirt assured me there's no more bacon with two full baskets on the line, and then when I said that there is more bacon and that company policy is that as much additional bacon as the customer wants can be added she told me no. The ticket time was 9 minutes for a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was burnt. The staff need a quick retraining on company policy and how to properly cook a perfect grilled cheese.
