Very tucked away — in that “is this an alley or a bar entrance?” kind of way — but still close enough to Birmingham New Street Station that you could easily pop by as a commuter. The space is quiet, clean, a little austere. It’s not a pub, not a lounge, not a cocktail bar. I was trying to figure out where it sits in the UK drinking hierarchy — somewhere between “craft beer kiosk” and “high-design beer cave.”

They’ve got a tight list of interesting beers, including some high-ABV IPAs when I visited. The space is mostly tables and an outside area, no bar seating per se, and feels more like a place to meet up with a few friends or keep to yourself — no pressure to be “on.” Great if you’re solo and want something low-key, but you won’t be striking up conversations with strangers here.

Overall, a good stop if you’re in Digbeth or near the station and want something thoughtfully curated but unpretentious. I’d go back, especially with a friend or two. Not a destination bar per se, but a nice contrast to louder pubs or...

Wowzars! Damn! That was soooo good, I had to refrain from moaning after the first bite in case people got the wrong idea. Absolutely smashes any place to eat at for Detroit pizza! The buffalo chicken was amazing; such a great option and I favoured it more than my “go to” which is usually of the “pepperoni & hot honey” variety. Pizzas are incredibly filling, soft thick base and a crunchy exterior. The service is top class with attentive and polite people! Located under a railway bridge this is a hidden gem within a few minutes walk from new street station. It is worth mentioning that the pizza is served on Wednesdays from 5pm and on Saturdays from 12pm only.

Edit- The Nduja special...

Went there on a Wednesday after work to enjoy their food night. The place is located few minutes from central station but yet slightly hidden so it’s not too busy or loud. The food was good. We took 2 slices and it was too much. They are really rich and filling! If anything, I would rather recommend getting the garlic bread. The drink menu is full! I loved that the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to taste a bit of the tap drink I was going for to ensure that I would like it. If you tell them what you like, they can recommend you suggestions and I loved that. Overall, it’s the perfect place to unwind after work, try out new drinks and have a good chat in a...

Kilder is located under a railway arch about 5 minutes walk from Moor Street Station. There is an enclosed air con area where the bar is and more seating next door which opens up on to road/car park. The tap room has a retro feel about it with it's green tiles. To be honest I was disappointed. I visited at about 3pm on a warm Saturday afternoon. Inside it was empty though I enjoyed the Artic Monkeys being played through the PA. The range of beers was extensive but pricey. No sign of the wonderful food mentioned in other reviews any the bloke selling beers didn't look that interested either. Perhaps I chose the wrong day.
