NEW VEDIQUE INDIAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Birmingham

Edit: visited for a second time, changed my previous 5 star review to a 3 star. We were so excited to come back and bring our friend but unfortunately it was a shambles. "Margaritas" took 25 minutes to arrive after the beer and they tasted like water?? I'm not sure how but when I sent them back, the waitress happily exchanged them for 2 beers which arrived completely flat.. the other waiter later explained that it's because they hadn't pulled enough beer through when cleaning the lines!! So essentially we were drinking chemicals.. anyway we stuck to bottled beer after this which was fine and all of the terrible drinks were taken off the bill. Next the food: as you can see from my previous review we were initially blown away by the food, hence the return visit. Maybe they have a new chef but the lamb chettinadu was very watery this time and lacked the depth and flavour it had last time, the lamb was also less succulent and seemed poorer quality (maybe previously frozen?). The prawn curry was nice and the biryani was ok but they brought the wrong sides out, which they quickly rectified and gave us some freebies. The front of house staff's hearts are in the right place and you can tell they want to provide a good service and are sorry when they don't but unfortunately they just seemed a bit chaotic, starting to clear one table then starting to clear another before the first table had been cleared etc. I don't think we will be returning for a third time unfortunately.

This was the best Indian food we have tasted in the UK by far!! I had the lamb chettinadu and my partner had the lamb biryani, we will definitely be back for sure thank...

Me and my partner went to Vedique tonight and we have been super excited to come! We had a 3 course meal with cocktails / drinks, and oh my god the flavours, the presentation, the service, the chef! The owner ! Honestly we were absolutely blown away! We had a mix off starters from stuffed mushrooms, lamb chops, chilli prawns, and mains was sea bass, biryani, prawn curry and naan bread! Usually I’m quite picky with south Asian food, however this has been totally up there for me and it’s definitely one off my top Asian restaurants for me! The service was 10/10 too and the owner is so lovely and went above and beyond! We also had room for desert and my favourite was the gulab jaman! You will not be...

Just visited this newly opened Vedique Indian restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations! The food was authentic, flavourful, and perfectly spiced — every dish tasted freshly prepared and full of rich Indian aromas. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, creating a genuinely pleasant dining experience.

The ambience was modern yet cozy, and you can tell the owners have put real thought into every detail. From the crispy starters to the creamy curries and soft naan, everything was spot on. Definitely one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
