Went for pre meal drinks last night at around 5-30, 6 of us, 4 visiting from Derby, night out planned months ago. A member of out party was feeling under the weather but soldiered on, was just drinking water, had to dash to the loo to be ill, gents full so dashed in the ladies to be told he could not go in, he explained he was going to be sick, but no not allowed so dashed back in the gents and unfortunately the only place was the urinal, Let's just say we were very surprised to be asked to leave immediately, the lady showed no empathy at all for our ill friend. So folks should you become ill and god forbid need a paramedic expect to be asked to take you illness else where. She was so rude assuming he was drunk, he was pale and clammy but she still ranted on at him. Manager check the CCTV and bar receipt there was 3 alcoholic drinks and one soda water, one soda and lime and a water for the gentlemen that felt off it. I visited on 22/5/22 at around 1430. The Web advertises "Real ale" so me and my friend thought we'd pay a visit. Place looked good, spacious with screens but no cask pumps (real ale) so I asked the man behind the bar if I could try the Craft beers before deciding whether to stay. I explained that I'd had an operation which has made my stomach smaller and that I struggle with carbonation. The operation is called Nissen Fundoplication which stops acid rising up to the throat. He let me sample one beer but not the other which in my opinion was extremely inconsiderate considering the place is falsely advertising ale and the fact I am restricted as far as what I can consume. Came to watch an Arsenal-Man Utd game here a while back. Manager insisted I needed to buy a drink straight away. When I told him half time was only 5 mins away and I'd come to bar when the half finishes but he was having none of it and said aggressively that I needed to buy a drink immediately or leave. The place was empty as well and I ended up missing the rest of the half as it took him ages just to serve a pint of coca cola. Won't be returning again.
