Read moreThe worst Thai food and service I’ve ever had. We went as a family as we all love Thai and wanted to try Rosas Thai. We have young children so went at 12 on a Saturday. Immediately when we were greeted I should’ve known as it was so half hearted. After ordering, it was a short wait then the kids starters and mains came together which was odd, but when the suggestion was for them to go on a hot plate - I decided to keep them.
The noodles in my son’s dish were very very chewy and he wouldn’t eat them but my daughter’s dish was okay. Then our starter came which was a sharing platter, this was okay but the same as a supermarket meal deal. Other than the chicken satay stained my daughter’s clothes and at crazy gold the marks were fluorescent! After the starters our drinks arrived. I would like to stress it is now 12.30 and it only opended at 12 so it is not busy. My husband had the massman and I had pad Thai noodles, the curry and rice portions were quite small for the cost compared to Giggling Squid or Sabai Sabai. The massaman was okay, just lacking in any fresh flavours. The pad Thai was inedible drenched in sauce. I didn’t eat it. It was left full in my plate. Somewhere during the mains, he delivered another water jug and glasses even though we had some already. When I asked for the bill, no comment was made on the full plate. Just don’t bother. There is way better. The Bulls Head Wooten Wawen is amazing, Sabai Sabai (any) Giggling Squid...
