Went to The Button Factory with friends for a Sunday lunch. Staff were very polite when we entered and seated us straight away. The waiter who brought over our drinks dropped the tray which had a pint of lemonade on it - this splashed over one of our party's jacket, hair and face. Mistakes happen and the waiter was very apologetic, replaced the drink and gave my friend some tissue to dry her jacket. In the main, the food was very nice, and the pork was delicious, however a couple of us found the gravy a little salty. Two of us had finished our meals and one person was still eating when one of the waiters started clearing plates - this is something that really frustrates me, plates shouldn't be cleared until everybody in the party is finished. When the bill arrived, the lemonade had been taken off but a service charge had been added to the bill, which I thought was a bit thoughtless considering earlier events. Overall, the food was nice but I wouldn't rush to return.

Apparently the place looks ok, so we decidwd to have some burgers there. Apart from the fact that the burger was flooded with mustard (their special sauce) I don't remember much about it, very under average burger and the chips were half burned ... interesting, I didn't ask for super crunchy chips ... If I have to highlight a positive one, the staff was very friendly and helpful so hey ho! The wood floor by the bar been removed and looks quite bad. If that wasn't enough wait until you go to toilets and you see those urinals with green stuffs underneath and the top pipes look that they are growing some fungus mixed with metal corrosion... absolutely terrible. I would give them zero stars, but one is the minimum... never again! After all of those we been surprised that we didn't have good poisoning... so maybe is ok to give them a star 🌟 Ah, don't be surprised if you get service charge... is there, very little text at the end of the menu .... 🍻 cheers!

Quite disappointed because I had heard good things. We were stuck with the 'match of the day' menu which was just burgers and wings, I was looking forward to the Sunday roast. I tried the Korean wings which were awful, nothing Korean about it apart from the sprinkle of sesame seeds and in general the taste was mediocre, not worth £8 at all. The rosemary chips were just normal chips, no hint of rosemary at all. Very average food. Plus we had to order via an app that was really slow to download and set up, with too many steps to register and had to restart twice to make payment. It was nice to sit on the rooftop terrace although staff didn't clear/clean the tables customers had left for at least an hour..

We have just eaten Sunday lunch at the button Factory. The staff were good and so was the atmosphere. The food was very very very poor. SUNDAY LUNCH £16 plus £7.25 for Cauliflower Cheese?

So the food sat on the pass from plating starting, to be removed to be given to us for over 9 mins.

The plate was cold. The Yorkshire puddings were fridge cold. The meat was small and fatty although tender. The gravy had not been stirred and was weak with clumps of gravy granules visible, and is tasted salty. The veg had been sat so long it had started to wilt and again was cold. The extra portion of cauliflower cheese looked like it had been made a week ago and was so dry, it basically had about 3mm of sauce in the bottom. Any grandmother would have chocked at calling this cauliflower cheese! The plus was the dish it was served in was so hot, although this did help to dry the micron thick cheese sauce even more.

We sent it back and it was replaced with no fuss. The front of house staff were great. We were told they had new staff in the kitchen? My advice, get rid.

Unfortunately, this the worst Sunday lunch I have had in the last 10 - 15 years.

The bill came with £1 charity donation. The only bit I didn't feel aggrieved by. Would have been better to to have £70 charity donation and £1 to the kitchen.

We went to Tesco to buy something, as all still felt hungry.

Eaten here before and really enjoyed it.

Please change the kitchen staff who cooked our meal, or at least install a little amount of pride in what they send out?

Not an experience I will repeat for food.

Bar and waiting...

Food was ok to be honest But not the best Sunday dinner for the price 1 piece of beef on a Sunday dinner When I asked if this was correct I was told it was Booked online for Mother’s Day When we got there we were asked if we had a booking by 3 different people Who just walked off until the young lady asked us again and informed us we couldn’t book on the same day For food When I showed the booking reference she said it was a mistake and it shouldn’t have let us book But as we were there she would find us a table Took our drinks order Another 20 mins past then our food order , we waited about 30 mins for food In the mean time I had to go to the bar to get a second round of drinks as know one came over to us to ask if we needed more drinks When dinner arrived it was well presented but only one slice of beef on each plate for me and my daughter My wife had the vegetarian option which was ok When the bill came we got Charged 10% for service Even though I went to the bar ?? Was later asked by one of the staff what we thought Informed him that for the price it was expensive for what you got Thanked us for our thoughts and walked away Disappointed to be honest Would I go again, no...

We booked the upstairs area for our wedding reception last July 29, 2023. It was amazing! Lauren was very approachable from the get go. She answered all our questions and was a good communicator. We knew we were in good hands. They don't do decorations for the event so we had to provide our own and arrange the space the night before our reception but please don't let this stop you from booking them for your wedding. Talk to them first. If anything, I loved that they didn't provide decorations because my groom and I were able to put our own personal touches to the wedding reception venue. Special shout out to the guy (besides Matt) who was working the night of 28th July 2023, I didn't get his name but he was very helpful to us.

The food was delicious. The guests had good things to say about the meals and I was very pleased. The staff were very professional and flexible to our needs. We had one child for our wedding and they went above and beyond to provide a kid's menu for just one child which I'm really grateful for. The day went on flawlessly. My husband and I cannot thank you all enough for making our wedding day...
