During our trip to Birmingham, we visited this restaurant for lunch. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, which made a great first impression. We ordered the mix platter for three people and waited about 20 minutes for the food to arrive. In the meantime, the restaurant kindly served us a portion of bread with salad, yogurt, and chili sauce a nice touch! The bread was especially tasty and crispy. The platter included a generous mix of meats: kebabs, ribs, and wings. Everything was delicious, and the ribs were particularly good. However, I would suggest adding a bit more doner kebab to the platter, as it was very flavorful but not in large enough portions. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. One minor suggestion: it would have been more convenient if we were provided with spoons for the rice. Also, while the service was friendly, it could have been slightly more attentive. All in all, we had a pleasant experience and may return if we're in the area again.

A good walk from the city centre into the Jewellery Quarter you’ll hit Frederick Street. It is a gem hosting a plethora of alternative eateries. A must visit for while in Birmingham; at the top of the street is a little known Turkish restaurant named Cappadocia. It may be diminutive from the outside, but it’s quality within. The quality of service, food preparation and taste is heaven. Where else can you say that have you eaten baked cheese off a stone laden with pebbles? Okay, there may be some avant guard fine dining restaurant out there that does, but... for me it was a first. I loved the dishes, the people, the intimacy of Cappadocia. Remember to bring cash, their card machine is broken.

Extremely disappointed with my experience. The portions were shockingly small—the mains were more like starters. There was more salad than meat, and the so-called sheesh kebab consisted of tiny, lukewarm lamb pieces. We spent £70 on three small starters, two portions of chips, and drinks, which felt like a complete waste. While the food had some flavour, it certainly wasn’t enough to make up for the portion sizes and lack of warmth. I wouldn’t recommend this place and will definitely not be returning. One star for flavour, but that's all.

I am not sure if the good reviews are genuine to be honest! I usually don't leave one star review but with this place unfortunately I have to. when you go in the atmosphere is not really welcoming. (however the waitress was nice) but the owner (I believe) was so unfriendly even though he was trying but he maid the atmosphere so uncomfortable. while ordering the food the guy was so unhappy as one of our friends was only ordering a few starter as she was pregnant and couldn't eat much and also any meat. we asked regarding the yogurt drink and if they serve it with mint, again he was so defensive and upset why we did ask such question and mentioned a few time and Turkish people never put mint in this drink! (so what, can anyone else not do that? is it against the humanity? ) when the food arrived, it tasted worse than the street food with the price of high quality restaurant, you could smell and taste the excessive fat that had used to make the food look good!! while eating we were constantly were watched and observed! the environment was enjoyable at all and we didn't even wait any longer just to leave and skipped the dessert part. Definitely would not recommend the place as there are so many much much better restaurant in Birmingham which you can enjoy your...

We went here for a birthday celebration. In the end the meal was so disjointed it was comical. There was at least one part of each dish we ordered missing (didn't match the menu). The waiters (although being quite friendly) were just a bit forgetful (ie - you would order a drink and it just wouldn't arrive). I had to get up at least three times during the meal to get their attention as there seemed to be a large presence behind the bar rather than on the restaurant floor. The glass that the water was served out of had a huge chip in it which could have been potentially dangerous. There was no real apology just the full bill presented at the end. I really think that an improvement in service could go a long a way. If there aren't enough ingredients to complete a dish, please tell the diner rather than bringing it out at a substandard level and telling them after when it is queried. I ordered a baklava with ice cream. It turned up with no ice cream. When queried the staff told me there was no ice cream and subsequently went over the road to Tesco express and returned with a saucer full of Ben and Jerry's chocolate ice cream?!? This was about ten minutes after they brought the dessert and we were ready to leave. It was a very...

I am pretty sure all the good reviews on here are fake because there is just no way anyone would give this place anything more than a 1 star. This is the worst place you could ever eat!!! The service is APPALLING!. I went here with 4 colleagues on a Friday evening. We all ordered our meals and approx. half an hour later they brought 3 plates of food out for my colleagues and the waitress goes to me, "what did you order again?". I told her what I had ordered and it turns out she had forgotten to put the order through so they had not made my food!!!! The chef then comes out and asked me to choose something as on the menu as what I had originally ordered would take too long to cook. I then chose something he he picked (was the quickest to cook, took about 7 mins). never tasted anything so bland, could have done better job at cooking myself!!!. That's not even the worst part. The still charged me for that horrendous meal!!! I think its safe to say I will never set foot in this place again. And I will be telling everyone I know...
